blade show 2011 official report by bladite

It was good to have both Moose and Bladite in the booth working on our behalf. Good Job Guys! Next year we want to get the Guyon Biscuitman involved also. Good to see some BeckerHeads...need to see more coming to Blade.
Excellent show this year. Crowds and sales seemed way up for everyone.
BTW; I held off on the farting.

don't worry, Moose had you covered on that last part :)

more writeups and photos... Might just do a whole travelogue. braving tornado alley just to get to and from Blade. gracious me!

great photos! not a fan of those zombie killers but the JAB piggyback just caught my attention for the first time (and is now on my Amazon wish list, come ON Father's Day!) and oh my do I ever have several uses for the Mini Camp. Give it to me now.

Yummy. Damn man, that is one sweet looking blade. Can't wait until she's mine.

awesome pics, bladite. thanks for taking them! i'm not feeling the thumb jimping on the tweeners though. in my experience with other makers they're there to compensate for the handle design that's lacking here and there but these 'tweeners looks like they're ergonomically designed from the get go. hopefully they won't be there in regular production and let the user add them in if they so choose :o

Love the jimping. Hopefully it will stay.

Any idea of the blade length on that Magnum Camp tweener? It looks like my idea of perfection, besides the choil (although it seems pretty small).

a few dozen hairs longer than the MK 1 iirc. similar to the temagami as well. can get rough numbers later.

I remember Ethan saying 5 1/4" I think. Its longer than the others.

Knice pics Bladite....thanks bro and I cant all of those blades, did you steal me a few or what????

5 1/4 would be PERFECT!!! That's definitely the next blade I'm buying, for sure. I may even have to learn how to pre-order for this one. Thanks a lot, guys!

remember, just a prototype, no pre-orders that i know of will happen.

tweeners: some thoughts...

i finally got to handle the tweeners. of the three: "mini campanion" (drop point), (kinda mini BK7/9) clip point, and the mini-magnum camp... MMC is by far my favorite... it's unfortunate that the clip point will sell a lot. maybe. the drop point should do quite well, however, the MMC ... WHAT A KNIFE.

I apologize if this has been asked/covered in some other thread, but are those the only three tweeners that are still in the running to be produced? I have a soft spot for that recurve that was spied in earlier pictures, but I haven't read much information on it as of late :( Has it been scrapped?

Yeah, I kinda had my eye on that one too. Is there a name for that type of blade? And what's it good for, other than lookin' pritty?

As far as I know, and have heard, the recurve did not make the cut. Ethan designed 5 blades, but only 3 made the cuts. The modified tanto point didn't make it either.

Sorry fellas, as far as we've heard, the three you see, is the three you will get. But, you never know what the future will hold.
