Blade show 2013 haul + my experience! *Pic heavy*

This was my first year to go and I had to work today so I was only there friday but its really an experience ill never forget
When I met todd rexford I didnt even realize at first it was him because I grabbed the zt colab they released at blade set down looked up and was like woah wait your todd rexford was prettu finny great guy
Best part of the show for me was talking to jake hoback tho so amazing
Definitely going back next yr

Did you not get to see mark beggs custom bodega he was carrying with him and his brothers surprised him with it because its modified to something he had designed someone actually tried to buy it off him lol

Jake hoback had some great knives at his table (by the time I got there he only had three left lol) didn't get a chance to talk to him though:( and no, didn't get to see Marks bodega....

I had early bird since I was there only 1 day and he was the 2nd booth I stopped at I basically ran up there with my jaw dragging on the ground behind me got handle the a15 he had up there and we talked awhile found out he only lives like 3hrs away from me just super polite but his a8/10/15 is like my holy grail dream knife

You would have had to ask mark to see it I didnt get to hold either marks or todds bodegas but they showed them to me when I asked if they had any bodegas

I had the early bird to (thanks new graham!) but I forgot my table list...I was basically running around like a chicken with my head cut off (no pun intended) trying to find the booths I wanted to see:o

So lucky! Thanks for the write up man.

Maybe one day they'll realize that there are knife freaks on the left coast, but I doubt it! :D

Glad you like it:) pssshhh but what would the Busse guys do? The hogs like it down south:cool:

I had an awesome time there as well!! Just wish I would've won some of the lotteries!! I picked up an El Patron flipper from Calavera cutlery, sweet knife with a great convex grind!! First time handling a rockstead as well, and let me tell you, if you haven't seen one, definitely worth checking out. I'd say it's one of the best slicers out there, the ZDP blade steel has a Rockwell of 66-67!! That is amazing!! And sharp as all get out!! Missed out on all the Hinderer lotteries so I broke down and bought one off the forum, my first one, time to see what all the fuss is about. Only bad thing I could say about blade, some of the vendors, mostly just the guys flipping knives to make a profit, not any makers or large companies, were some real JERKs!!

The G10 PM2 that Knifeworks was selling for $117 is riding in my hip pocket as I type this. :) Thanks for leaving it for me....

Sad to hear that the 0170 is discontinued. Guess I won't be getting rid of mine.
