blade show 2013 pix - a work in progress

Anyone making bushcraft Dangler sheaths that will fit the Tradewater, from the inestimable T.M.Hunt ?
The sheath it came with is actually very nice, but I want a sheath on a swivel of some sort, so its can be moved sitting and such to be more comfortable.
If you don't have a T.M. Hunt knife, your missing out.

If this knife had still been there Sunday morning, I was going to buy it. :D

That's why I grabbed it. The Yuma I wanted got grabbed by someone, and so I decided i needed to crap or get off the pot, on this bad boy.

Damned if standing in one spot isn't worse than moving. Just had the last of the Pappadeaux cheese grits and a 600 mg Ibuprofen. Time for a two-mile walk to work out some soreness and stiffness.

If you'd tried the salmon you wouldn't have that problem. All that Omega 3 and all.

II really appreciate the Lake Effect ice scrapers y'all handed me, they'll get a lot of use this summer! Oh, the Ka-Bar beer, excellent stuff.

and the salmon was good...

papadeaux was quite nice. mmm, blackened catfish etoufffffe with extra seafoods (lots of crab and oysters), gumbo, dirty rice crab logs er eggrolls, NICE key lime pie

also, the clever person will note two pictures in the gallery, of the NEW WORKSHOP TOOL - it's a four roller mini belt workstation ... think KMG or something, but smaller...

pretty cool...

the show breakdown was pretty fast - weather reports said tornadoes, and all flights were pushed back 2-3 hours "for safety". we got to the airport in time. in my case, i was nearly 5 hours early, and then pushed back 2 hours for boarding, and the planes sat on the ground for another hour while we waited for a safety window. heck, even arriving we had to go AROUND various death pockets. sweet. amazingly, the plane was on extra speed boost. actual flight took 25 minutes less than it normally does.

special bonus: the TSA found my bottle of KaBar brown i tried to smuggle home. i mostly just wanted to bottle - probably could have just brought an empty with me, but i figured i'd keep the liquid too. nope. denied.

they didn't have a care about the titantium twig stove i snagged "Ember Lit" brand - nice guys - they liked Ethan :>

the new RRT-0 XML got a workout today too :>

yeah, we need "mats"... and some chairs for the relief crew...

i was popping vitamin-I, lots of water, and probably could have standed to have coffee and Monsters - kinda forgot that part. slept 13 hours the first nite. man.

today, most of the pains are gone - one of my shoelaces was setup wrong and pinched a tendon - that'll work out. bursitis kept threatening to get me, but i know how to stretch that out now. thank god for a *little* drinky poo before bed, and HOT HOT HOT showers. can't speak much to the beds at the hotel - though sleeping on twisted sheets my own stupid fault. but yeah, the hotel was used to store stuff and sleep. that's how busy we were.

best though: my knees braces saved my creaky ass knee.

bit laggy at work, but food, and coffee and the right focus got me all got up and ahead. tonite: more coding if i can. just did a lot of yard work. amazing lush verdant jungle yard. oh my.

Toooj hit a home run with those. people love them, and they're hella cool. mine got some use last Winter, though honestly, now that i have a garage, the "worst of it" was not much to deal with and i didn't have to cut my car up too much :)

The new worksharp is really nice. Goes on sale in the fall.

I will be getting the new Work Sharp. It has all the features I'd wished for on my WS, and even a couple more I hadn't thought of.

Went to Pappadeaux for the first time Friday night. Outstanding. The waitress even found me a pint glass to take home.
