Blade Show 2014

Bummed I won't be able to make it. Have a great time everyone and good luck on the lotto. Can't wait to see everyone's scores.

awww man, now i might have to make the long drive to atlanta solo just to get my name in the lottery. when rob throws out teasers like that i might just have to suck it up and make the trek. if i cant then i am awaiting the pics of the lucky few, good luck to all. Rick, love what you do and hope you never stop.

I pre-ordered a Fuzzy Stuffed bobble-head "Rob 0" dashboard doll w/optional velcro mount.

I can't wait!

But seriously...

That'll look pretty cool as it bobs and weaves dodging the bouncing fuzzy dice dangling from the rear-view mirror of the little Miata...I see a GoPro video in the making.

Ok, serious time: Congratulations to Rick and those that helped make this milestone a reality.

Question for anyone who's been to Blade or knows the area: What are some fun activities to do or cool places to visit while in between show times? Rob, where do you guys to out to eat Friday night? ;)

I have "heard" the bar (the Pit) is a blast at the Hotel each night. Restaurants in Atlanta are amazing (use to visit there on business quite frequently) some of the most beautiful "sights";)

The PIT in the Waverly Hotel that is attached to Cobb is the spot to be every night after the show, it's packed with hundreds of collectors and damn near all the makers. The local area around Cobb Galleria is full of good restaurants, plenty within walking distance, a few steak houses, PF Changs, Maggiano's, Cheese Cake Factory all the normal stuff. There are activities going on at the show, the cutting competition is cool if you've never seen one.

Well shoot that all sounds fun. I think we'll have to stop by a few spots. Looking forward to it! Thanks for the answers guys.

Congrats on the milestone anniversary!!!! Unfortunately we can't make the show this year, so good luck to those that are able to attend!

**Update** We will be selling production knives on Friday and Saturday throughout the day using a cell phone text style lottery format. We plan to do 5-6 lotteries each day, somewhere around the top of each hour. Each round will have between 10-15 knives available which will be on display prior to us pulling names. We will send texts to the 10-15 people picked, allow 20 minutes for everyone to assemble at our booth. Then starting with the first person picked in order to the last person you will have your choice of what is available in that group of knives. This will be a separate lottery ticket from our custom lottery, you will fill one ticket out and it will be used for both days, unlike the custom knife lottery at the Sharp Stage, which you will need to fill a card out for each day.

And now we know why it specified "custom" for the lottery.

We wanted to try something different, but at the time I put out the lottery times for the stage we hadn't figured it out yet. They only give us 30 minutes on the stage and we're taking too many knives to be able to lottery them in that amount of time, plus like I said it was time to mix it up. We kicked around selling them outright in different formats, and other ideas and settled on this.

BTW, I didn't edit your post, I accidentally hit edit instead of quote.

Here are a couple of cool limited edition Blade Show items, Steel Flame tags and a new T-Shirt.
