So, here we are, I'm not gonna say its that time of the year again, because honestly, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to making the arrangements for Blade show in Atlanta. Truth is, at least from my point of view, when I make the commitment to go, its just guaranteeing me months of stress, hard work, and telling myself that this is the last year im doing it. Well, no more. This is the forth year that I will be a vendor there, and like I said, earlier, it just about kills me. The expense, To get there, to make enough money to pay for the trip, plus put some in your pocket, to make enough product, to worry about this and that is overwhelming at times. But you know what, it turns out its all worth it. Every year I've stressed, cussed and threatened, and every year, I'm humbled, not only by the support I get by poeple I had no idea knew who I am, but by the friends I meet, new and old, and getting to visit with the knife making heros that helped mold who I am today. All and all, every year gets better, and this year, I'm just going to put faith in that and go with the flow. There may be pleny of stuff at Blade thats better, more expensive, has a better sales pitch and is more popular than my stuff, but there will be NO ONE there that has a better bunch of people that have their back......

Of coarse, this year at Blade, I will have my usual crew, I hate to go anywhere as far as T.M.Hunt Custom Knives is concerned without my trusty sidekick Murph, so he will be there, and I'm thankful for it. . My wife Gina will be with us to let me know when im being a asshole and to tell me to chill out when I need it. As much as I dont want to admit it she will also be there simply because she supports and loves me, and even though I seldom tell her, I greatly appreciate that as well. As far as home goes, its gonna be a hell of a crunch to fill orders and get stock done for the show, my Dad will be the first in line for that punishment and help all he can. I get frustrated and give him a little hell, fortunately for me he sees through it and supports me 100% and I hope that some day my son appreciates me as much as I do him.

So, you see I guess im growing up a little in this little knife making adventure of mine. This year, I'm going to try my hardest not to sweat the small stuff. I got the best support group a guy could have, I've met and know all of my knife making heros, and I know I will meet more friends and see plenty of old ones come the first weekend in June, in short, I am happy and actuality excited for Blade this coming year. I hope to see as many of you there, if you see me and I look stressed, slap me, and well have a beer and laugh about it!

I'm also excited to say that Blade show has finally realized I'm not going away anytime soon. Its just about impossible to get any table space anywhere towards the front of the place. This year, (4th year) they are moving me up 6 isles closer to the front. I will be at table 5 AA this year, how it's set up I will be three rows back from the front doors in the handmade section. If the setup is the same as it has been for the few years, I will be in paper wads throwing distance from the KaBar booth, which is good because I love to aggravate my buddy Ethan Becker of Becker knife and tool, and this will allow me to do it all weekend! lol.

So, please, all of you, even if your not buying a knife, come by, introduce yourself, talk knives, talk sports, talk shit, I dont care just come by, I promise to have plenty of stuff, some new, some old, plenty of stuff to check out. It will be my pleasure.

See you then! safe travels all! :-)

that just gives Todd an excuse to be away from the table more -- it's a longer walk both ways, he may need to buy 2 at a time so he has enough to get back to us!

Looking forward to seeing you guys again. Bloody well not driving down this time though.
Also not looking forward to building inventory alongside orders...
