Joey, not even sure where to start.
Overlooking my own selfish personal benefits, I think it's important to point out that I think you are one of the most important forces and personalities in the custom knifemaking world, and through your constant positive participation - both on the scene and behind the scenes - the custom knifemaking world is a better world, for both makers and collectors.
Your tireless work and dedication to makers, even when we may not deserve it, never ceases to amaze me. These videos you create only display the tiniest depth of your involvement, but it's clear that they're greatly appreciated by those that couldn't attend, as well as those of us that did and you were gracious enough to allow to share. Because of you, I've learned and grown as a maker, and met some of the finest people I've encountered in my path through life. To merely say 'thank you' feels hollow and minuscule, but it's all I can say, for now.
Thank you, bud.
Just because I said all this does NOT mean we're going steady.![]()
Joe, we don't know each other but that was a great vid. Thanks for taking the time to make that. I know that a lot of time can go into something even when it's simple.
Also....you're going to love the hell out of Toni Oostendorp's Bullshark when you get it. I think he possibly makes one of (maybe even the) most well thought through and functional outdoors oriented blades in the world. (He also tests the hell out of his own blades)
Marchand is the best looking guy in Canada thou ..... sorry Matt![]()
...and that has poor taste in friends![]()
Ha! I thought you had said before that Lorien was?!?![]()
Perhaps that's true, but also lucky for me!
You're a good egg, bud, despite everything Marchand says.
Thanks Joe for the great video
I unfortunately missed this year due to business conflict. I always enjoy visiting with you and look forward to next year.
And.....Dang It....I missed out on Matt's latest introduction....
Great video, JParanee. It was damn fun meeting you and yakking with David Mirable, a couple of my favorite folks there, along with M. Gregory. James Helm and his friend Tobin were also a real hoot. Hilarious!
Thanks for adding me to the video and highlighting my blade, even though I looked like a total dork.![]()
