Finally have a chance to post about the Blade show. As soon as I walked in those doors... BAM! the William Henry booth. They are probably the most beautiful knives I've ever seen. At that moment I had realized that I'm not leaving the show without a William Henry. I have seen and heard some about William Henry's, but nothing do them justice until you see and handle them in person. Nothing speaks greater on craftsmanship, beauty, and elegance than them. I couldn't pull the trigger on the higher end models, but I sure can justify the "budget" line ones. The last booth that I had visited at the show was the William Henry booth to pick up this beauty. It has actually kicked my small Sebenza Insingo out of my pocket for a week now. It has really drawn me into the whole gentleman's folder stuff. Ultimately, it was very refreshing to see and hold something different after having a collection full of tactical or hard-use knives. I've owned various Spydercos, Benchmades, Kershaws/ZTs, CRKs, and Hinderer. My only complain is that the blade is in D2, I'm just not a fan of D2. I would have been happier if it was just ATS-34, 154CM, S30V, etc. The blade is very sharp and very thin. I've edced it for about a week now. I also love how less threatening it looks compared to my bigger framelocks like the Southard Flipper or my XM-18. The knife is just butter smooth and the centering is perfect. There is just not much to complain about besides the blade steel, and that's just a matter of preference. I would like to hear other's experience with William Henry's or why you don't like them.

I had one of the budget edc models and didn't care for it. $250+ for flimsy feeling aluminum handles and D2? No thanks. That being said, the knife was very smooth and the sharpest knife I've ever had, bar none. The action was like a butter drenched in mineral oil and the button lock was neat. I've been looking at some of their mid range knives lately but didn't care for the budget line.

Congrats! Beautiful knife. :)

I've wanted one for awhile and had been trying to decide which one to get. A member here had a T-12 safe queen on sale the other day and I was fortunate enough to get it. Can't wait to get my hands on it. His pictures:

I have one each of the edc WH, and I like them a lot. I prefer the smaller one because it does not feel as delicate. Personally, I like d2 just fine it holds an edge for a long time and is tough in my use. As mentioned above, it is also very no threatening

I haven't held one from their budget line models, but I do have a couple of T12's.
They are made as well as any handmade I've had or seen, and are the finest production knives made IMO.

So you're the one that snatched it up! I was eyeballing it pretty hard. Guess I hesitated too long!

:D

Yep. Well, the timing was perfect, the price was right for me, and I was already seriously considering a T-12 and really liked this one - so it all worked out for me.

Congrats Hairless, they are certainly beautiful knives. I had the E-6 but decided it was too small, I would like to try an E-10 next.

SaintlyBrees, that T-12 is drop dead gorgeous. Congrats to you as well.

Great looking knife :) I have been wanting an EDC for a while but cant seem to decide between the 6 or the 10 hahaha

I didn't think it's that flimsy. I definitely won't do what I do to my Hinderer with it.

That's just gorgeous. Congrats on it! One day... one day I'll get one like that. Man, you got a nice piece right there.

I've carried an E6 model for about 18 months now. The D2 blade has not disappointed me in the least as far as edge holding. For a small knife's daily tasks. the William Henry's are very capable. They are also nice to fondle and admire.

Hairless, congrats on the WH acquistion! I have had that same knife for over a year and think it is great. I find myself carrying my E10 about as much as any other knife including other more expensive WHs. For me it is a great size for EDC and is super sharp. Right now I have a B10 Lancet w/Damascus in my pocket but I am sure I will find myself back to my trusty E10 soon.

Hope you continue enjoying your first WH.

Two things I've never had... A WH, and d2(I have NO idea how I've managed to skip it for this long), but one thing I'm pretty certain of... You and I have very similar taste in cutlery.

Congrats on a fine purchase!

The E-10 was my first higher end knife and still one of my favorites, light, sharp and just about perfect sizing for my hands. I think the D2 is great.

Aw man! That Damascus is just gorgeous.

Haha, I've noticed. You should get yourself one. It's very nice. The craftsmanship is just superb.

Thanks! You show show yours off :D

I love my EDC 10! It is a deceptively large blade and comfortable handle compared to the weight and size. People are amazed when I lay down my EDC-10 and my Hogue EX02 and they see they are the same overall length and blade length.

Here is a crappy cell pic of my EDC10
