Blade show acquisition: William Henry E-10

I have been looking at William Henry for awhile now. Out of all the designs, I like the look of the T-12 the best. I like that blade profile and such. They are hit and miss, and usually I end up missing them. I have seen them go for prices all over the place. I will not pay the sky high prices some want for them, but if I found one at a reasonable price, I will definitely try one. The budget line I dont care for, while some like them, they do look kinda cheap to me.

I love my EDC 10! It is a deceptively large blade and comfortable handle compared to the weight and size. People are amazed when I lay down my EDC-10 and my Hogue EX02 and they see they are the same overall length and blade length.

Here is a crappy cell pic of my EDC10

That B12... is just beautiful. WH's choice of damascus is just supurb. Definitely need to save those pennies. Is it a user?

Let us know what you think of it once you have it in hand. I've been looking at them too. Nice knife.

Nice acquisition! I've been checking out William Henry myself lately, what can I say other than my tastes can run all over the place. Looks great though, hope you enjoy it and let us know how it goes.

I'll answer you both. It's a great edc. I don't even feel that it's there. The deep pocket clip makes it disappear even more. Every time I have to take it out and use it, I just feel classy. It's just so elegant and slick. The D2 is holding up well. For food prep, this thing is a champ. The thin blade slices with minimal effort. Fit and finish and craftsmanship, I would have to give them the edge over CRKs. However, I would definitely restrict the tasks to light duty and maybe some medium duty. I don't want to push the knife to it's limit. It is a gentleman's folder after all. The key to be a gentleman is to be reserved and proper :D

OK. Here's my take on it. William Henry is the finest production folder company on Planet Earth. I'd rank them higher than Chris Reeve. And believe me, that's saying something! I don't care if it's their EDC series or their $10,000 one-offs, William Henry makes exquisite knives. If what you use a knife for is to cut things, you won't find a better slicer than a William Henry knife.

Congrats on your new WH, I have had 3 different WHs' and they are top notch in every way, I would be interested to know how the finish holds up on these...

The finish on them is quite impressive. I was doing some whittling and it left some light skid marks. I just took it to the sink and rinsed and wiped it off. It looked good as new. Compared to the matted finishes of BM or Kershaw, those skid marks are much harder to get off. Just another one of those things about the knife that made me smile. That's coming from a guy who hates coatings.
