Blade Show Booty

Stunning Green Bone AND Stag on those two!

Although you can't buy one yet, did anybody snap a pic of the CASE/Bose Norfolk? It's getting me down not being able to decide between Antique Amber or Chestnut.....you people in America are so lucky to be able to go to Blade or get the latest info on hot knives.

The Case Bose prototypes were one of the show stoppers for me and both bones looked great. I stood in front of them for a while and could not make a decision.

Last year I met Shigeru Tozaki and his wife. Great work. So I ordered this small 3 inch folder from him that he delivered at Blade this year. He is a very talented maker who does his own engraving.

Although not traditional, I think of Walter Brend as the Tony of Fixed blades and had the chance to pick these up. When you have a chance at a knife from Walter, you do not pass the chance up. When you have a chance at three and two of them are high polish ...

Some excellent toys as always, Gus.

The Tozaki's are an awesome couple.

That Tozaki is a brilliant combination of ancient&modern, very satisfying indeed!

Blade show Booty is what you make of it, or what you value or collect. Here's photo of mine, older 121 unsharpened, decent sheath, the double strip red micarta version. I believe it is second version. Other is 1988 301 ^ Stockman in yellow delrin. Walked around and saw some of the custom makers mentioned above. Makes my Buck 300s look puney.....sort of .... 300Bucks

This was my Buck slipjoint display over in the Buck Collectors Club section, couple of people said hey, I put I was 300Bucks on the front so you folks would know it was me......300

Some homeless street person gave me this one before the show and it is a very cool knife in CPM 154 that Case started making this year.

Case did not put much of an edge on it all all, but it did not take much to take care of that.

It does look like jerky. I'm suddenly feeling hungry...:p

That jerky that Jerry had at Blade was great (thanks Elliott and Jerry), but I am more than sure some of the people that I spoke with after I ate a piece or two, did not think so.

It did pack a little kick. I ate what was left of the bag Jerry gave me for breakfast Sunday morning. :p

And just who had the pleasure of sharing a cab ride to the airport with you, Elliott?

:D

Missing Blade sure is crummy. Of course I am green with envy at all these pics of loot--Brend, Hanson, Bose, Chamblin, and others--- but I can make up for that. What I cannot make up for is the hanging out at the Blade show with a bunch of yahoos from these forums that make me look like a handsome guy by comparison. :D

Oh, the mrs. had the pleasure of a three hour drive home to NC at which point she got to replace my "jerky" breath for that of our Weimaraner, Smoky.

Not much of a bargain either way I guess. :p

WHAT A FANTASTIC HAUL, MY FRIEND!
THANKS FOR THE LOOK-SEE!;):)

Congratulations Gus. That is an impressive selection to say the least. All are outstanding.

Those Brends were something to hold as well.
