Blade Show Dinner

Not a bad group so far. You are correct Shott, the Idea of getting a room is sleeping. I doubt that would happen bunking with you and the Mrs.
 
I am going to be there. I am interested, but not positive what I have going on that night.
 
Ok. so I talked to an "event planner" from Dave & Busters. She said that to get a private room, basically everyone would be eating a set up buffet in the room, everyone would be on one bill, and 50% of the room rental and food bill would have to be paid up front. I personally don't have that kinda dough to front for it. If anyone else wants to front them or work the stuff out contact

Private room at D&B's is probably out. I'm going to send her an email but the price seems a tad on the high side. I also have a call in to my hotel to see if we could get a reasonable price on a meeting room.
 
If you're accepting newbies, go ahead and count my son (15) and myself.

I do, however, have specific requirements that will need to be met before I can fully commit myself:

- Have cold beer
- Half decent food
- Have cold beer
- Be reasonably priced
- Have cold beer
- Somewhere close to either the Galleria (wherever the Blade Show is being held) and Marietta, GA (where we'll be staying) or somewhere in between; 15 year old will be the Designated Driver (no DUIs on my record, thank you!)
- Have cold beer
- Allows 15 year olds (the titty bars are out - he'll tell on me)
- Have cold beer

I think that's it, other than the requirement that it have cold beer.

There will indeed be cold beer. I know I personally will not be going anywhere pretty much all weekend without my cooler. Also going to have some good scotch and brandy with me.

D & B fits all of these requirements :)
Easy to find, easy off, easy on to I-75 and between the Galleria and Marietta.
A "private room" is a sectioned off billiards area that turns the pool tables into serving and eating tables. It's not bad, but with big bucks up front it's probably a bit beyond everyone's means to lay out that kind of money up front and collect from everyone on arrival. However, D&B is a big place with good food (resturant), bar and arcade area which could easily just be a meeting place... and we just wing it and hang out. There will probably be a cover charge on Friday evening though. We may be able to get them to push a few tables together in the resturant. D&B is a really fun place and if we can make it work (food and beverage wise), it's a great venue for a team gathering.
I am consulting with a "Native Atlantan" buddy to develop some alternatives, if y'all wanna try something else. There are lots of places close-by.

Just kidding man. I don't think anybody took it the wrong way. Seemed perfectly logical to me.
 
Outside of the fact that everyone wants to drink cold beer and we have 18+ of us going to dinner, what else do we know?

-Shotgunners need a room to themselves.
-Dyslide wants to lay down an ass whoopin.
-Something stupid is destined to happen.


Unfortunately none of this answers where we are going to eat.

Any other suggestions or thoughts. What about the possiblity of the bars/restaurants at the Galleria. On line it says are options are:

-Jocks and Jills
-Maggiano's Little Italy
-Cheesecake Factory

Just thought I would throw it out there.

We could also just order in and hang out in the Shotgunners room.
