Blade show help?

I'm finally getting around to buying tickets and booking a hotel room.

I was thinking about the Wingate hotel. It's near Cobb but not quite as close as the Waverly (they are full).

For the flight, we might get in early on Thursday. If any one is arriving Wednesday or earlier, we could use a place to get a little rest before we can check in to our room at 3:00 pm.

I would offer my help but we are on the same boat :D
 
Check to see if they have a shuttle service at the Wingate and you won't have a problem.
 
I'd like to volunteer to help unload the Busse trailer. :thumbup:

When will you be there in Atlanta? The only nonstop flight from San Jose, to Atlanta arrives on the 29th at 7:30pm. That is cutting it too close and if there are any delays then we will miss the dinner. We are thinking about taking the wednesday evening flight and arriving early morning on thursday at 5:30am. But we will have a whole 12+ hour to kill until the dinner with no car.

You guys can. I will try to find a "Calhoun's" in Atlanta for at least lunch or dinner :D Sorry Rob I just couldn't resist :p

Or perhaps a good Thai restaurant. I won't hold my breath though. I was in the midwest and east coast a few times and tried to find good asian restaurants. I drove for miles only to be disappointed. Alright! who lives and Atlanta and knows of a good place?
 
buttons is serving at papa deaux? great Cajun food norlens. jumbolia, shrimp gumbo, shrimp creole, shrimp n beans, shrimp soups, shrimp..

Wow your taking the redeye, very hardcore of you. Ill be there on Tuesday but on Thursday, during the day, we will be at the aquarium, your welcome to join us.

At this point I am thinking about just renting a car for the whole weekend. I don't know about Hogwash....but I hate flying because I am old and get all beat up from the flight. It probably won't be a bad idea for me to check into the hotel early to crash. I'll just go with the flow and see what happens when we get there.

Anyone knows of some good hangouts near Blade? Hogwash is thinking about a strip joint or something to help loosen up after the long flight ;)

I am sure you and your lady won't appreciate two big @$$ bright light bulbs shining over you guys on your romantic outing ;)
 
I'll be driving like a bat out of hell Friday morning from the DC area. Hope to get there before Blade closes on Friday.

I wonder what the added INFI will be to my MPG... :p
