A while back there was some discussion of a a larger Native (the "Chief" or "Pride"
I think?). Now that I think about it, wasn't the prototype on display again this year?
Sal, is this model still on the back burner (or even on the stove
Jon - Actually, the Native "Pride" received a fair amount of attention a Blade Show and is still in contention for a production run. However, there are some that think that it is too large for tip up carry and have suggested tip down carry.
In my opinion a tip-up on a folder that long will place the thumb hole too deep in the pocket and you'll have to adjust your grip as you draw it. With a tip-down draw there is less of an adjustment and the thumb just seats into the opening hole naturally. This is a fairly personal issue I suppose, but tip down for me please.

I think that if the blade is similar in size to the Endura, which I think is closer to 4" on the new model, tip up is fine. There are many tip up folders on the market that are larger than 4" that seem to be received just fine, IMO.
