Yours, not mine, I didn't go this year - remember?

I just want to see what you got.

Plus it gives me a better idea of who I should to call to score a knife.

I needs to know did you buy 6 knives or only 5...

When Coop gets back and works his magic with editing.. there will be alot of nice pictures. I am tempted to post my purchases but they will look better in a few weeks.

Actually I will post the two that did NOT get professional photography (ran out of money fast)

Shawn Ellis fighter. Sheep horn is not my choice material but this knife definitely spoke to me and I kept coming back to it. Its a nice one.

This has been posted before. Burt Foster laminated hunter.

Look forward to those Cooperized shots. Jonathan, your recent Hanson fighter seems to have set off a spark? ;) It's no wonder.

I'd love to see everybody's purchases as well (those willing, of course). Perhaps we should restart the thread when the magic load arrives from Coop??

I have a feeling the blade batch is gonna knock our socks off.

Dangerous Collector Alert! ;)

I have met Jon very briefly in NYC and Atlanta. He is a very young guy (to a geezer like me atleast) with a terrific eye for the best of the best.

Watchout, if he is standing near a great knife you desire. Fair warning.

Yes Please share them.

Picked up a few at the show but wanted to start with this one:

Tom Ferry custom Damascus and gold "Hannya" tanto folder.
The engraving on this one is insane. The geometric pattern on actually changes in the light from a "qbert" style to a basket weave. The Hannya demon is tearing its way out of the random damascus accented in gold and the eyes actually will flash at you in the appropriate lighting. (see this at the 3:00-3:02 time frame on the below video) It is actually a little bit creepy. perfect file and vine engaving throughout with gold stipple work at either end and a phenomonal, tightly patterend damascus blade (which did not come close to showing up on the video)

I promise to show mine - just have to get them shipped back to me and photographed - at least the ones that Coop hasn't already shot.

I hear that. I am waiting with baited breath to see Coop's "glamour shot" of my ST24. Even the unedited pic that I saw on computer screen was fantastic!!!:D:thumbup: This could be the one for my opening round of knife mag ads.

Thanks peter. Great to see you briefly. We were all running around like mad men. I am not that dangerous, yet.

Jonathan - great looking knives

Did that Ellis piece win "Best Fighter?"

Don's stuff never ceases to AMAZE!!!

I love that Ferry piece - I saw the similar one he had at Reno, and it was one of my favorites there. Looks to be awesome engraving on this one, both in terms of style and execution. Nice score!

Hi folks,

Yes, Jon, I have a motherload of photos. Not as many as P7, certainly, but mine will still knock our socks off. The quality and diversity of the knives is, as it should be, consistently moving upward.

Michael, you WERE missed. Jon, you always bring gorgeous work and challenge me to show it just right. I oblige. :)

It will take me about a week of editing between jobs. Soon. Worth the wait.

I fall behind, as I always do, because this is the ONLY time I have to take a moment and get a real handshake and eye-to-eye with the makers and members that I converse with here and on the phone. It's a management dilemma, and a necessary evil. Still, I got it all done.

Off to bed. I had a full day of driving....

The scary part is that you still have to work your post production voodoo on all of those pics. Not much chance of you seeing daylight for a while, eh?

Get your rest, Jim! Sweet Dreams! Can hardly wait to see your photos! I know they will be worth the wait!
