howdy each and every one of yau'al !
this years blade show is every bit the three ring knife circus it has always been!
this year so many BCC folks showed up with a display that every one was limited to jest one table
and Bucksway and i shaired a table as did some other club exibiters
and yes several of us have displays that could take up 3 to 4 tables easly

there are about 6 or 7 club members that are showing for the very first time this year
and they are excited being here with their knives

Chuck Buck has been hanging around the club tables quite a bit and
side note He looks great! has color in his cheeks and has slimmed down quite a bit!!
Chuck and his wife joined the bcc members at the Folks restrant which is a trditional haunt
they were very impressed with the southern style chicken and
fried green tomatows and the fired dill pickels!

there be lots of discussons here and there as to what people would like to see
as the 25 bcc knife and for the 50th of the 110
but no one is letting loose any details !!
but i was shown a knife by CJ that will be a new issue next year
he is field testing it right now and it has a lock that is 4x stronger then the lock on a 110
i will try to barrow it and snap a pict of it ...

i heard that there wont be any new LE or spechal editions of the 110
in prepration for the anversity issues

i heard that we may see a 110 with sandivic steel and s60v
but dont know if it was some one at the show or jest the voices in my head what said that

i come to own a verrrrrrry spechal 110 ..
i will post pictures of this damascuss knife later on

i will say that the kindey stone has greatly limited my walking around the center
this year they do have a surival and tactal section which is wow to look at

will try to snap some picts but as ever i most likely wont have names for thoes in the picts..

later gators ,

Yee Haw to you Florida Dave!

You made it to knife nirvana where I want to be.

A lock that is four times stronger than the 110 backlock!?!? Must be a fixed blade:):)

You bot a knife. Don't you already have a few. Puzzling. Thank you kindly for the report. Exciting to read words written by a respected, erodite and knowledgeable enthusiast. You are all right.

Packing the stones around and passing them is similar to giving birth. It is okay to holler. Hang in there.

Thanks, Dave.

Appreciate hearing what the voices tell you.

Give us a final report on ALL mentions of the 110 50th Annie knife or knives......even if the voices are whispering.

:D

oh my goush ....
well ... last night Chuck and his wife came over to sit at dinner with us
he said amound other things that there is a 5 year plan to end over seas productin of buck knives
that they were not going to do much spechal with the 110 untell the 50th year of it
now that dont make since to me as is not buck inc now 60 this year or last?

i did not win any awards
but if i do what i say i will next year i might
am going to change theam of my displays
to odd unusal and rare folding hunters

the club had some knives for auction then

Thank you kindly Florida Dave for sharing. Fun for me to see you having fun doing what I enjoy doing. I am enthusiastic to see you new loot. I wonder what, if any, the plans are for the 124 Frontiersman going forward. Will it continue to be made, will there be other handle material choices, will we be able to order one a few inches longer?

Yeah, I can see why Chuck won't show you his pocket carry.......

You always start a contest to give it away.

LOL!

You'll never see his EDC again!

:)

I was there Saturday - missed the meeting due to a previous commitment. Okay, I was at a free lunch... given by another knife company... sorry! If you saw, as my friends described me, a white-haired orange traffic barrel with AU on it walking around, well, it was me! I did lodge my greatest complaint re recent Bucks with the folks at the Buck counter... the 'Punk'... yeah, it was just the name. Even "Runt" would have sounded better.

My first 'Blade' show. I had heard of - but was totally unprepared for - the feeding frenzy at the Busse display when they tossed out cards. Oh, the humanity! (?)

Great time!

John ('Stainz')

yowser stainz! ifn ya is there today look me up!
now there is always a feeding frensey at dat der booth!!!
a few others also have feeding times ... the bcci has one at the end of the meetings every year
were every one wants to get to see what is fer sale on the tables from the valts at buck that
Joe Houser brings
so when it comes to knives ... IF ya is not one of them rushing to the tables
it is kinda amuseing to watch
and i will tell all youals ... if ya come to lanta and the meeting and you dont sit up front
you might see some one else buy the VERY knife ya wanted most to get!!!

aqbove display picts

below are picts of setting up for sale tables in the meeting
and some of tghe knives for sale
i picked up a copple of Nano Steel blade 110's
nano steel was an expermental carbide fusion on the one side and it is super sharp
only 100 blades made and most distroyued during testing est less then 40 surive
and a 119 nano steel and two cross lock nano steel
clint picked up two 112 one mirror polished blade and a 112 with 450 blade in 112 frame

Bless you for the eagerly anticipated and completely relished photographic tour de force Florida Dave. You are tireless. May you live for a thousand years.

I am very envious!! I wanted to be there a lot, but just couldn't pull myself away from VT this weekend for the two day drive to get down there.

I was even thinking of the meeting while it was happening yesterday. I really enjoyed the meeting last year.
