BLADE Show SR Rattle Hawk . . . . New Design. . .

I am curious to get more of the guys from the RattleHawk thread over here, but atm here are my thoughts:
Pros: Thicker handle, Prying-tip, Fuller will reduce weight making faster and more packable, Colored G10 :D
Cons: No more grip towards the head - will reduce functionality and make this primarily a breaching device, Underside of beard is still sharp - again good for breaching bad for skinning.

Those are just my thoughts, I cannot wait to see what type of sheath Mr Brown makes for these. And, I cannot wait to get one!
 
I am liking the pry/chisel end. I want it for a breacher. I will curious if the top of the head is sharpened. I hope not or I will be grinding it down.

Looks like I will be the first to mod one. If my proxy hooks me up. I don't want to lose a hand jamming it in a door frame. I plan on beating this thing like a rented mule.
 
I'm looking forward to designing a sheath for it. I have a couple of idea's running around my head already.
 
Yep it will be Kydex. I'm probably going to build two or three designs and see which one works out best. With the blade shape anddesign a two piece may work. Otherwise it will be segmented.

Nooooooo! The old design was so much better! I really loved the handle material near the top/blade area. That was one of the coolest & most innovative things about the design, IMHO. Oh well, I guess I'll have more money for other blades! The Pork Shank is amazing, at least! But I soooo wanted one of these! Please sell me one of the older protos!

I'm with you on this! The older model looked better and i would trade my right arm for one of the originals!

I'm with you on that. I LOVED the proto. I am still getting one, but it is much more RMJ style than it was (not that that's a bad thing), and the full length handle was awesome. I'm sure the Busse crew knows what they're doing though

yeah we do need a run of the original's.
 
I think this Rattle Hawk would look real good beside a Busse AA and a FN 5.7.
