Just got back from Blade Show. What a great time. Of all the shows we attend this one is by far my favorite. The words "great people" aren't strong enough to describe everyone who stopped by and visited. A huge, huge thank you to Guyon, Moose, DerekH, Pointy, C-Bear, Gutsy, Murph, and everyone else who spent time with us this weekend. You are a great group and represented the Becker forum and Beckerheads well. It was great to get to know you guys and we look forward to more of the same in the future. Hope everyone had safe travels home; let's do it again soon.

I made it back lateish last night and BLADE was simply an overwhelming experience, not only in the scope of what was displayed, but in the type of the people that attend. You can stop and talk to just about anyone there, and it's like you've known them for years. There truly is a common thread shared by all of us in the knife community and seeing it plain as day in the real world never ceases to stop me in my tracks.

For my part, I wanted to thank Ethan, John, Joe, the Moose, the Biscuit, and all my friends, old and new for an over-the-top weekend. It's the kind of fun that makes you regret the fact that you need to sleep (I'm looking at you, Bobber). Speaking of which, it was great to meet our "viking contingent" some truly hilarious and great guys with a powerful lust for life that we could all take a lesson from. I am still digesting the knowledge and lessons that I learned at the show as I sit here, getting ready to return to my normal life, already looking forward to the next adventure.

Can't wait for next year!

I would like to thank, first and foremost, Ethan, without whom none of this experience would have ever happened for me. It is really hard to believe the massive changes that I have been through in the last five years because of this place, and ultimately him. Thanks boss!

John, Joe, Moose, Guyon, Pointy, Julio, Cbear, Gutsy, everyone and anyone there, thank you, you guys all made this one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. The Nords were awesome, all the friends and family that showed up, everyone was just plain awesome. I can't wait until next year.

Rick, I look forward to seeing more videos from you guys in the future, and I hope all those things we talked about work out for you!

You know, I just knew I was going to forget somebody as my brain is still fried. I don't know how I could have forget JD. Julio just plays it so cool with that calm demeanor coupled with Derek's in-your-face persona. JD, you do amazing work and it was great to hang. We are glad you came to Blade; it was great catching up with you.

It was great to see the KA-BAR booth so busy all weekend. Thanks for your continuing support of Beckerheads and other fans of great knives!

Three words: Top-lip spitless dip.

I had a great time. Highlights included seeing the usual suspects... Ethan, John, Joe, and Moose. This year, Derek and Pointy added some manpower to the booth, and Moose's daughter added some girl power. She sold the hell out of some knives, but the best part was seeing her win two raffles, a Hiking Buddy from Fiddleback and a fire kit, strop, and oil from LT Wright. She is the raffle queen. The Knife Rights breakfast was a pleasure, and it was good to see Jerry Fisk and Crenshaw there. It was also a lot of fun hanging with Haze and the Gibbs clan and watching Moose drink a quart of house rum. I very much enjoyed my visit with Ron Swartz at KME Sharpeners. Ron continues to innovate with efficient designs, and from him, I got both a convexing arm and slipjoint jaws for my sharpener. On Jeff Randall's recommendation, I visited Smith and Sons and wound up buying two of their knives, the Mudbug and the Brave MT. As with past years, the $20 Eskabars were a big hit at the Ka-Bar booth and sold out quickly. This year, they had tan sheaths so I grabbed one. I also think I sold more 1217s than ever; people love that classic design, and if I do another survival class with Jeff, I may run that knife. I was glad Todd Hunt had a good show, and I heard USA Made Blade bought a batch from him. Lastly, it was great to see all the Becker folks who've been present at Ethan's gatherings for so many years now. They make Blade feel like a happy reunion and are one of the biggest reasons I look forward to the show every year.

Moose's daughter crushed it. What a fantastic young lady. I don't know that I have seen someone her age with the amount of respect and knowledge. She was a pleasure to have in the booth. Always great to catch up with you, Biscuit. We appreciate all you do for us and enjoy your company.

Always a good time with the Kabar Crew, but I wanted to say thanks to Ethan of course, and all the guys that I got the pleasure of hanging out with. Joe and John, you guys are easy to chat with and great hosts. Thanks for the patience with all of us groupies hanging around, and thanks for the swag as well.

It is truly hard to know where to start........ What a great time........ Too much fun I think, is the only thing I can say at this point....... I am virtually brain dead (yeah, yeah, I know, so what is different?)....... My vocal chords were plumb wore out and after repeated doses of honey and lemon juice are about recovered but, the old think box needs another nap..... Will be back on the morrow with some new thoughts but meantime thank you all who showed up ...... You made it a BLAST!!!!!!.....

Hey thank you, Derek. It was good to see and talk to you again, man, as well as everyone else. Finally got to meet Cbear. Got to see the Gutsys, Brian, Tankerwolf, spoke to Jeremy and his better half, and even caught a glimpse of the Terrios. Last but not least a really good interview with the boss. My only regret is being too busy to have hung out at the KaBar booth like I really wanted to. Had a bit of a hotel mix up too that kept us out of Friday night festivities. All in all, it was great to be there amongst you guys again. Please let me know if there's anything I could help out with in the future. I'd be more than happy to help.

I thought Joe killed a man with a sword.

I had a blast this year! Thanks so much to John for everything he did, and Ka-Bar did. Also huge thanks to Joe for putting up with me after the show. Can't forget about Ethan! Thanks SO much boss! It's always a pleasure to hang out with you. Moose, Biscuit, Pointy, Derek, Thorny, Todd, Murph, JD, Jim, Gutsy (and Mrs), et al it was awesome to see you all, and to be able to hang out. See you guys next year if not sooner.

You guys getting into a fight after dinner was sweet too. Joe killed a man.

you guys owe "the cleaner" a few knives ;) made that problem go away, and everyone loved "the free bbq" later.

it was good seeing everyone I got to talk to, even briefly -- bummer that I couldn't spend more time at the KaBar booth, but it was pretty crowded and I had 2 different maker tables to help out with.
enjoyed talking to Bobber, bummed I missed out on the rest of "the Nords".

I want to thank everyone for helping my daughter have such a great time.

And she......absolutely did.

Thanks to KA-BAR tor letting us attend and work the counter. As always, many thanks to Uncle Weirdbeard, and all the lot behind the glass.

This Blade Show will forever stand out from the rest, simply due to the fact that this was my daughters first show, and everyone helped to make it so awesome for her.

Her haul included: a Fiddleback Forge Hiking Buddy (won), an LT Wright fire kit (won), a BK24 (she got haggle with Mr. Stitt over the price, which is awesome), a new Fenix PD12 ( thanks to Michael at Fenix), her first side opening switchblade (yeah, you read that right), some new patches, a Knife Rights membership, some Whittlin' Sticks, KA-BAR/Snody neck knife, a new Dozier folder, and a handful of Spartan Beads ( thanks to Mr. Mark Carey) and some sore feet.

Thanks again to all for helping my baby girl have such a great time....

She will be back next year....

CHEERS guys, and Pointy, I`ll try to get some sleep, but the experience is just too amazing...
Just got back to the hotel in Charlotte NC from The Diamond Bar & Grill......
Beer in NC is good....

BIG, BIG THANK YOU to Ethan, John and Joe!! Without them KaBar wouldn't be what it is now! THE BEST DANG KNIFE COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited to see a few of my sheaths on display, thanks to Derek! Blade show was one crazy experience, started with virtually skipping a whole night while flying to the east coast. Finally meeting more Beckerheads, Derek, C-Bear, Zack, Evan, Guyon, Moose and the Nords. "I think I am forgetting someone" special Thanks to Bobber and the Nord clan, we got to wait at the front of the line! It was so fast and hardly no sleep and one hell of an experience. After numerous delays, I finally made it back home.
