Blade Show/Thank You

This was, for me, the very best BLADE Show ever, except my very first one and that was a while ago, like twenty -five years ago....... Many of the people I met then are still hanging about....... Too many to mention..... Most either had hair then or it was a different color ....... They sure do sell a whole lot of grey hair dye these days.....LOL..... Unfortunately there a bunch of holes in the line up as well......... Some are missed a lot....... I have had a mostly happy home in the cutlery biz and have enjoyed myself....... There are a tremendous number of good folks in the community and it is a business that caters to a damn decent clientele...to wit, in the three days and three nights I met a lot of people(two hundred, maybe?) and got to talk to a lot of them and I would have taken more time with each and very one........ Good people........ (My vocal chords just texted me and said I did not shut up the whole time)....... I remain amazed at how many faces I could recall and even put personalities to them and how incredibly few names I could remember which is always, a source of acute embarrassment to me.... Forgive me...... Met a bunch of new people and made a friend or two, I think...... That is a good weekend on it's very own.........

I spent very little time outside the booth and consequently I have virtually no actual knife news........ I found interesting stuff at Todd Hunt's and had a great talk with that Bensinger guy and Dan at Dogwood....... L.T. is still L.T. And Dan at BH is still Dan.....Good..

Probably the biggest BLADE Show ever.......Lotsa,Lotsa people, LOTSA people, a good thing, yes ?.........

A big thanks to Moose, the Purple Hatted Biscuit,Derek, Pointy, and Sierra......... Thank you Joe, and a great big thanks to John, my ten day a year boss for his enlightened leadership.......

And my biggest thanks go to the people who spent their very valuable BLADE Show minutes talking with me...... I really appreciate it........

The biggest and best and most fun one is in the can, as they say in Hollywood but, let's make next year show even better...... See ya at BLADE........

Ethan not leaving the booth? and i missed it? whoa!

We'd tie him to the booth, but there are too many sharp things handy and he's wily.

Ok, how does this sound - I was there more , I think that at any other show I can remember.....

'Twas tiresome digging through all that reinforced concrete to get to the hotdog stand!!!!.....I wish we had had more time to talk, my friend.......
