Blade Show West. Any thoughts on the anoucment there will be a new Blade Show West

It is beyond comprehension why no one from Blade or the magazine has posted/added additional show and lodging information for attendees. It's one show location I had planned on getting to, one way or the other, health be damned.

HOWEVER, purely on the basis of neglect toward the attendees by sponsors, my own principles say "DON'T GO TO THIS SHOW, PERIOD". And I will not.

Now, is it time to cancel my Blade mag subscription???

Bob, If you do come up I'll stand a round. I'm staying across the Willamette in the HiLo.

I think people will attend, my concern is the knifemakers won't.

Now, Robert, calm down. I understand your frustration and I agree it would be much better IF they want it to be a success that they should put more effort into the promotion by way of information making it easy (or at least easier) for the attendees and makers to plan and make arrangements.......but the only reason I think you should cancel your subscription to the magazine is if you no longer enjoy it or find no value in its contents. I don't think the whole deal is worth elevating your blood pressure.....you can find better or at least more pressing things to be upset about.:)

edit to add: I just reread your post above and if there are personal principles at stake then Sic 'em...I'll hold your hat.

Kevin, good to hear from you, but rather certain I'll not waiver. But if so, will give you a holler.

And Paul, luckily I have not blown a gasket. But pretty much have blown off the show as noted above. Always good to hear from you, buddy!

was gonna do it this year, but heading to Vegas instead. Next year, almost for sure!

I'm not even taking haunt bookings that week for Blade West. So I'll be there as well. (And possibly doing some sword swallowing and sideshow demos too. Not sure if I can get away with the staplegun ding, but if it gets me cash for some more custom knives why not.)
