Blade Show West Q&A

My first Blade Show and I'm excited!

Might be in the minority here, but if I'm going to be in a closed arena with a thousand or so other mouth-breathing, knife-drooling apes I do appreciate all of us being vaccinated! 🤪

Cripes, some of the other knife shows I've attended a certificate of washing would've been appreciated 😅

I'll be there down there Thursday to Sunday, we should definitely meet up at some point👍

That was a fun show, I enjoyed seeing all the wares and talking to the makers and vendors.

I'm curious if the metal detectors at the entrance were a city, county, or state requirement? Having to deal with that to enter a knife show seems like total BS to me...I have a feeling that is going to be the biggest gripe from most attendees.

Definitely was overly intrusive. I bet the space expo going on next door requested we all get the pat down 😂

It is required by LA County, it is state law that we have to follow, otherwise we could not have the event. The convention center is enforcing it and it is entirely out of control. They consider any event 1,000+ as a "mega event"and these are the events that require the proof of negative COVID testing or vaccine.
Please state which "law" that is. I don't remember a statewide vote on this. Besides, you really should just walk away from here because you're gonna get dragged hard. You just cannot change the rules once the money hits your hand.

120295 Ca. Health and Safety Code: A misdemeanor crime for violating County and State Health Orders. It's the catch-all/enforcement section for all the non-sensical health orders from each County and State of Ca.
