Blade Show - Who (and what) are going?!

Hey Cold One! It looks like you were standing right behind us at the cutting comp!

Yeah, didn't know who you all were at the time though, enjoyed watching the competition, gonna catch it again this year.

Will be by your table Saturday morning, this will be my 3rd time going to Blade and it definitely gets better every year for me.

^^^ Welp, since I reckon that your table will empty out fast in less than 1/2 hour, what are you planning to do there for the other 71.5 hours?!

If I was going I would hide inside over night and be at the table when Nathan walked up. Failing that I'd camp out in front of his Hotel room.

It's gonna be wild like Black Friday sales at a big box electronics store.

Nah. The Blade show is a really big show, we're just a tiny little outfit, we barely even register as a blip there.

There will be a total of over 50 knives available at our table this weekend (and Mark made some D3V flippers), I expect to have inventory for the whole weekend. It's a lot of effort to attend the show, for both makers and buyers, so I see selling out on Friday as a failure to prepare. I think we will have knives all weekend.

I hope it goes just the way you'd like to see it go Nate. And that you guys and Jo get to enjoy yourselves a bit as well as work. I'm sure you will, just a well-wish for no hitches of any kind!

Now, about this D3V flipper.......

There are completed folders? Albeit they're Mark's but I'm still very interested to see them if someone would be willing to snap a pic or two.

Thant Nathan! So humble! I think your Lady will be better advised on planning for some extensive shoes and handbags shopping at the mall next door, while you contemplate on planning better for 2018 :p

P.S. Don't forget that "little blips" don't get such an active subforum on BFC ;)

Running out on Friday is just a case of supply not meeting demand. When one produces the quality of work that you do, meeting the demand is going to be difficult. It isn't a measure of failure, but a measure of success.

If you don't run out of knives on Friday I'll be surprised. People are figuring out how good your knives are.
