Rick is hard at it this morning doing some finish work on 3.5" XM-18 custom blades that he ground last evening.

Rick started yesterday with Fieldtac's

A dagger ground Fieldtac awaiting a satin finish and a fancy handle treatment.

Soon to be 3" XM-18 hand ground customs

XM-24 Tanto

Flat Dark Earth DLC production 3" XM-18's

Black DLC production 3" Xm-18's

I know, those black DLC XM3s are unreal. I gotta get my hands on one!!!! I'm not going to Blade so I'll be checking the Exchange every few minutes or so during and after....

I am headed to the Outer Banks of NC for two weeks of fishing. I am tempted to blast down to Atlanta for at least one day. I love to fish, especially with my two boys (now young men), but those knives are really tempting!

Stuff you find when you walk in Monday morning!

Do you think there is some grinding dust weighing Rick's apron down?

The assembly bench is probably the busiest spot in the shop this week!

All the 3" XM-18 customs got ground, and it looks like we have a FXM in work

Some 3.5" blades, next up will be to hand rub the flats

Ahhh, the breakfast of champions, Jellybeans!

Oh yeah!

My travel plan keeps being altered or even toyed with to the potential point of canceling my plans to attend Blade...but I adapt and overcome...I'll be there. And a new Hinderer will be mine.
