Well it started at 2pm. Was wondering Buck would be there as they aren't on the list of exhibitors? Was hoping we might get a peek at the models they will be producing for Remington.

CJ and Lori Buck will be at the show joining in with the BCCI guys but Buck does not have a booth of their own.

I too was hoping we may see the latest knives that Buck has mfg. for Remington. DM

I was hoping they would have a booth. Looking forward to see the new 101, at least new to me. This years 119 with the 75th logo. Also, I was hoping to see the 117 (mini 119).

I assume some of the Buck tables will have some of these knives. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Buck doesn't have a booth - lame. Also the new SMKW catalog has no Buck knives in it. It's a slippery slope.

Was curious who all from the forum is going to be at the show tomorrow. I am going to head up in time to make the meeting tomorrow. And of course, look around.

I didn't realize Buck was going to make knives for Remington. Have they done this before?

Why wouldn't Buck have a booth at Blade, but they had one at the NRA Convention?

Video was of displays by Buck Collectors Club, no company booth with employees and new knives. CJ and Lori Buck present and glad to meet and talk to Buck knife collectors. If you attend be sure to look for BCCI displayers in the foyer of the event center.
Blade moved collectors tables out of main hall this year. Money talks. Club president has his Buck Customs display present along with newcomers and regular displayers. Make time to stop in. Some regular and especially extra club knives on sale. 300

If Buck really did have a booth at the NRA and passed on Blade is shame on them!! Sorry, but Blade is the biggest knife show in the world as far as I know. Buck is a big company and there should be no excuses for missing the Blade show! None!

It would be interesting to know why they are opting out of the shows. I'd guess its a cost factor versus return on sales. They do the Shot Show to roll out the new knives for the year. The NRA is a big political show. The Top Buck folks are at the Blade Show for the BCCI folks and I find that very cool. Buck has been doing a lot of TV advertising and that is costly, so again I'd say its a return on investment study.

I personally believe them being at the shows is more than just about the sales at the shows. Them having a presence at the shows and talking to the people promotes Buck during as well as after the shows and gets people
talking about Buck knives as well as making relationships. Since the BCCI is at these shows anyway I believe Buck is using them to make a showing for them. My personal experience at the Oregon show is that many
people coming up to the BCCI tables ask where Buck is, they talk about meeting Chuck, Joe, and others and miss seeing them. Many also think that we (the BCCI) are from Buck or at least are there to represent them.
We make it clear that we do not work for Buck but we do try to represent them as good as we can. I am guessing that this is true at the other shows as well.

Buck used to do the Oregon Knife Show. Biggest show on the West Coast. They don't do that one anymore either. A lot of people look forward on seeing the big companies there. Probably all about money. I think they should still be there even if they don't have a big setup.

Another thing about that blade show. The only people that get to vote for the club members, like president vice president and so on are people that show up for the blade show. I think all members of the BCCI should be able to vote too. By email gives us all a chance to pick somebody. Not just a few that can make the show. And we should also be able to vote for the knife/knives made for the club maybe put a few out there and let the members vote for the knife they want to have for their buck Club knife for the year or fundraiser for the club. After all we are the ones that buy them... To tell you the truth I haven't bought one in a long time because I haven't really cared for them... That's just my two cents... I am not trying to start anything it's just an idea... If I had a chance to vote I would have voted for John forsman and Larry O anyway. Just trying to make it fair for all to get a chance to vote.
