Blade steel on my Kershaw Avalanch - any thoughts?

440v is my vote.

It has the old style clip like mine that are marked 440v. But....mine have uncoated blades. The thumb stud is also the same as the 440v ones.

The s30v uncoated blades were the end of the run build outs, the last ones ever made. Thomas listed a low # of less than 500 if I remember right.
 
presz, good point about the thumb stud. I've just realized it is pressed in rather than with a screw like on newer avalanches.
