Your question is a little vague. What steels/stainless steels do you want characteristics for? For specific questions about a steels characteristics or a more in-depth look at a steel, post that specifically. A good page for a broad look at different steels and stainless steels is located here (there is a lot of basic to advanced info on knives available at the Bladeforums "Knowledge Base":

For some reason, the Spyderco page appears to have material off screen to the right, but no scroll bar. For instance, no vanadium is listed on my 19" screen.
