Blade stiffness

OK, I know I have a ding on one washer of my Seb and the other one's outside edge looks weird. However, it doesn't look like the ding or the weird looking edge is like, touching the blade or anything. Could the deformities be so small that I can't see it, yet it's still adversely affecting the opening action? Whenever I tighten all of the screws down, the opening action gets stiff. Aside from damaged washers, could there be anything else that causes blade stiffness? Could I be tightening the screws too much? Could the screws be wearing away the little depression that it sits in so that it's going in too far? I'm pretty sure I'm not reassembling this thing incorrectly though. Thanks.

SarcoBlaster,

Check this thread:

And, you can't overtighten the screws. Their tightness have no effect on the stiffness of opening the blade.
Damaged or pinched washers can however have an impact on that. I had that the first time I took it apart also.
If you're washers are really damaged, you can order new ones from CRK I believe.
Check the other thread I listed and try to re-assemble it again with the sandwich method. That worked perfect for me.
