Blade supplier question

I initially put this in general discussion, but this forum may be a more appropriate spot.

I've been building knives for a number of years and have bought almost all my blades from either TKS or K & G with an occasional blank off of ebay or the likes.
I don't have the equipment or time to forge my own, so I was wondering if anyone had some different sources for blade blanks?
Any info would be appreciated.

Jantz and Sheffield supply carry knife blanks also. They're all just about the same as far as I can tell from the catalogs. Personally, I make my knives so bad it's very obvious that they're not from a blank :D

There were some for sale in the "fixed blades" area. You wouldn't want to try to make a knife with something I forged :barf: most of my stuff is best suited for working in the dark so people can't see how ugly it is. Some of the other guys may sell blanks, I'm sure they'll chime in.

Welcome to BF, the largest knuthouse on the net. :D

Great Lakes Waterjet sells blanks. Speak to David. Real good guy.
- Just make your own knives. If you don't want to forge, just do stock removal.

Thanks, I'll check the fixed blade area and give David a call as well.
Stock removal may be an option I will look at. I need to invest in something better than my bench top belt sander first though.

Excellent info fitzo, many thanks.
The classic drop point hunter will be ordered tomorrow from Mr. Martin.
Glad I registered with you guys.

Welcome to the sickness. You'll be wanting to make everything in a short period of time. It's an addiction.

You're welcome, DiverTexas. Make sure and read the FAQs before you order so you know what you will have to do with the blade.

Thanks for the welcome. I've already had the disease for about 10 years, it's terminal.
I've made about 200 knives so far and plan on making many more.
Everything I've done has been self taught with the help of the good folks at TKS and a book or two by Loveless.
Figured this would be the place to add some great knowledge, so far it appears that is the case.
