I know that Buck does upgrades on 110's but do they do them on other knives(that have ATS-34 versions) as well?

The only offerings through Buck for blade upgrades is the 110. There are other folding models with premium steels, that are offered through Limited Edition releases or through Special Projects by certain dealers. Sometimes if a blade is broken and returned for warranty work, it may be rebladed with an upgraded premium steel replacement because that was the only steel type available, but if you broke a BG42 532, I doubt it would be returned with a 420HC blade. Buck Knives takes care of their customers.

Thanks for the reply! But, I was curious, if one had, say a Sirus, if they could get the ATS-34 blade put in?

The Sirus 298GY has that steel. It's my everyday EDC no matter what else is in my EDC rotation.

So you would recomend it, eh?:D

Without any reservations. Sirusly, it is a great knife. I have used it everyday (literally) since I got it from my Buck Forum buddy Leisure Suit Larry.

Up until then I carried a 110 then a 110 with a OAB everyday. Now the Sirus 298GY is in my pocket at all times and a 110 takes turns with a 112 or whatever for EDC backup rotation.

I use it (298GY) for everything...including in the kitchen, garage, field, road trips, cat ear loppin' (see my neighbor's cat in my Avatar du jour)...well not for that. But it could do it. Sharp as heck.

I know this is an old thread but does Buck still offer 110 blade upgrades? I don't see it mentioned anywhere on their website. Anybody have info or a link?
