I would have posted this in Blade Techs forum, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there so thought General might work better. I have a Blade Tech Pro Hunter magnum with pretty bad lock rock. I have tried taking it apart and re tightening screws from front to back and back to front, I have tried rotating the stop pin... Nothing seems to work. I can make this lock fail with VERY little effort, so I'm not so keen on using it in a deer's chest cavity where I can't see it until I get it fixed!
As I understand it, these are no longer made so I'm not sure what Blade Tech would be able to do for me. I have admittedly not reached out to them yet, but that is mostly because it doesn't seem like they are carrying as "high end" knives as they used to and I haven't gotten the impression from what I've heard that they would do much to help anyways...
Does anyone have any suggestions on ideas for any other repair/lock replacement options?
Thanks.
