Has anyone used one of these puppies? Looks kind of cool. My wife will not let me use my Gerber pack ax in the kitchen, I was thinking this would be a compromise. Also, I am interested in seeing how an ulu style blade works in the field.

Comments, advice, good, bad or indifferent?

Thanks

hmm.. that's an interesting design. I know I use my Nessmuk like an ulu. Just grab the hump and go. They basically made a nessmukish knife that slides back into the handle to give you a better grip on the hump. I'm curious to see if anyone has used one of these.

Skins a two year old bull elk like nobody's business. Didn't use any of the fancy reconfigurations...just used it as a skinner.

Highly recommended as a dedicated skinner. It could be used as flesher but I haven't tried that yet. It is marketed as a universal tool but really it shines as a skinner/flesher.

Terrill Hoffman will be reviewing this knife. He liked it alot. I got to play with it too, it is a VERY cool little cutter. I think he cleaned a deer with it too!
