How do you think about blade thickness?
How is best for 3"tactical folder, 4"drop hunter, 7" bayonet, or 10"bowie?
I like thicker blade as CS trail master, but for dairy use, thin blade like SAK is best I know.

I just like thicker blades myself, can push them more to the limit without worring about busting a blade, most of the time that is!

I think a lot depends on the usage and the user in particular. As a knifemaker I know the limits of the various steels that I use and would be careful not to push them past their limits...I also have a LOT of tools and would readily get a screwdriver if I needed one...having said that....I like beefier blades..... 5/32" for a tactical folder....3/16" for hunters, probably .250" for the bayonet and bowie but a thicker bowie is great with me. Another consideration is the grind. Flat ground blades are obviously stronger, but for hunting knives I strongly prefer a hollow ground blade for better cutting dynamics and continuing thinness after many sharpenings.

Having said all that, I make plenty of folders and small utility knives and hunters out of .125" stock
