Dale Vincent has had these apart for repair and even reblading, I think. He could tell us more definately, but the blades were, as far as I know, the same for LB-7 and LB-8. A change was made at some point in the locking bar which affects the rear portion of the blade keeping some of those later blades from interchanging with the newest, but as far as actual blade dimensions, I don't think they changed. And yes, the earlier ones were less consistantly ground by hand while the later ones used more automation, IIRC. Still, they had to fit gauges.
