Just curious. I went to my profile and went to search on my posts and did not see the latest post I had placed 30 mins before.

I noticed in the upper right had corner it said...
Search took 0.03 seconds; generated 70 minute(s) ago

Generated 70 minutes ago! I just hit the search button!

I went and cleared all my temp files & cookies on my computer but it still showed up this way. When do these standard searches reset on bladeforum or is there someway to force it to rerun the search?

Obviously I am still playing with this!

When I go to "Quick Links" - "My Profile" - "Find all threads started by KnifeFury" I now get...
Search took 0.05 seconds; generated 83 minute(s) ago.

But if I go to "Search" - "Advanced" - and then "Search by User Name" (with the Threads started by user selected)... all of my recent threads show up.
Search took 0.03 seconds.

Then if I go back to my profile and do the search from the automatic link I now get..

Oh heck, that's easy.... I see you live in Michigan. According to Ren, it's all screwed up there.;) :D

Funny you should mention that. I see you are from Illinois!

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, went to school in Illinois, then moved out this way. All of my family (including my Wife's) are still in Illinois. So... there is no way I am going back! In fact we live to close since my Inlaws will still make weekend trips! :grumpy:

By the way... it now updated (when I use the link through My Profile). :D I have noticed this before but never saw it go as long as 90 mins! Maybe next time I visit my Mother I will try it there (in Illinois!)
 
I believe it means the last update that generates the (my posts) stats was done 83 - 85 etc. minutes ago. It could be that that particular stat is not generated in real time, but a few times a day.

It makes sense to do that as it would create lesser load on the DB when each user posts, no need to do that for such a low value feature.
 
I've never run into that. Spammers often paste in several posts before somebody kicks them overboard, and I click "find all posts by" to find them and clean them up, often within a minute or two of their last post.

Oh, well I was just curious.

The "find all posts by" under My Profile was working fine, it just took over 90 minutes for the "Quick Links" - "My Profile" - "Find all threads started by KnifeFury" to update. Yesterday was unique since (including this one) I started 3 threads in that time! New record for me! :thumbup: And so when I went to the Quick Link and the 2 did not show up after 60 mins I started the 3rd. :D
