I'm just curious what the age demographics look like for our forumites.

Wow, I just realized I am approaching my 20th year on this forum - what a ride!

Sorry, but my age, color, sexual preference, sexual orientation, race, income, where I live, trade and all the rest are things I have zero interest in being identified by.

I would much rather be identified by what I contribute. There is far to much made of the former in this world, and far too little of the later.
 
I'll be 45 in a few weeks, but I've always had a problem acting my age ;) . I was also gonna make a comment about my knees but Lee beat me to it. I reckon the way I've treated them over the years I shouldn't be surprised.

I'd guess internet hobby forums in general might trend older, as many of us got used to the format in the early days and still prefer it. Just a hunch though.

Dude, he's just asking your age. You don't have to pee in a cup or get a mouth swab if you don't want to;)

It's just interesting to see where everyone falls. It always amazes me when I find out that peers on this site are quite a bit older/younger than myself. I'm also happy to see that at least a few of us that joined as youngsters are still kicking around. I feel that much online interaction is going away from forums and landing more on social media where the nuances of conversation are nil. I realize that forums aren't a young person's playground much these days, but one of my favorite attributes of this particular site was the absolute melting pot it has always been. Teens just getting into sharp and pointy things or taking their collections to the next level, older folks with decades and decades of wisdom to share, working class, white collar, doctors, lawyers, tradesmen, techies, black, brown, white, yellow, red, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostic, Mystics, Droll and Dry, Over the top, etc. It's an interesting weave of people here, and shows how we are all richer from being in one another's company....except for you Gen Zoomers...get off my lawn and go eat your tic-tac tide pods on somewhere else:mad:;):D

You left out Sufis, Sikhs and Zoroastrians. I'm deeply, deeply offended.
