I've only been doing e-bay for a couple of months now. I've been on this forum even less.

I'm on several forums, I like this one very much! Lots for good info!

Hi! I'm new to this forum and love it already! My ebay ID is egsfitz, and I have a knife collection that I am selling for a friend. Lots of Bucks, a few odd stragglers (Bar Creek?). My ebay store is 23_Antiques_and_Collectables. I would love any feedback from forum members about my pricing! What's in the store is only a few of what I have. I knew (know) nothing about knife collecting before getting this collection to sell, and even though I've learned alot, there are still things I don't understand. I'll save my questions for another thread, though! I'll keep my eye peeled for other forum members from now on -- you'll definately get preferred treatment!

Welcome to the forum!!!! There are tons of great, friendly people and even more info to be had here. Use the Search Function, ask questions, feel at home... One small word of caution, the Administrators of BF frown on people advertising their own auctions. Its ok though to talk about knives that are being auctioned as a form of discussion (Is it worth it - how old to yo think it is etc???) Just a heads up to prevent trouble down the road.

If you want to get serious about collecting Buck Knives - there is a factory sponsored club that a lot of folks here belong to. You might want to take a look at these links.

WE had so many problems with spam using an e mail address I changed our e bay user name to boxerlover2003

I hope someone is compiling all this info into a document that we could all share. rudderjt here and on the Bay.

It's a Hollywood  thing. Actually, filmed here in the SF Bay Area (Alameda tubes, Marin County Nike Site tunnel, Rapid Transit tube, etc)

Also, the license plate in "American Grafitti"

Thanks Goose, interesting, how do you come to know this:confused: and be able to get at it so fast...are you a sci-fi/Buck aficionado, an at expert Trivial Pursuit...just curious. Preston

Gypsy9590,
Thank you for the welcome and the reminder! I got carried away & didn't think until later that I'd gone too far in "introducing" myself. One of the reasons I've joined here is the high level of integrity the members show, and I don't want to bring that level down in any way. So I do beg pardon for having overstepped any boundaries!

I look forward to posting questions about some of knives I have. I've already learned a ton just reading all the posts here and elsewhere on this site! What a treasure trove!!

No, not a real sci-fi fan Mr. P. Around when that movie came out, I was living in Alameda. But I saw it on TV when I was younger, and that time, shall I say, prone to seek herbal remedies  . I thought it was too cool for school and even tried to get the license plate "THX 1138".

Have seen bits of it recently on TV and can't make it through it. Guess I would need something to heal this glacoma of mine  to sit through it again.

But I am glad I saw it...once. And, I do like "American Graffiti" as one of my favorite movies.

so, to keep this within the topic of Bucks, ahhh....I don't think there were any Bucks harmed in the production of either movie.

Live Long and Prosper...
