^^^ Peter - that's a truly exceptional piece, to be sure.

The #8 BURT FOSTER For 1st

The #1 DAVID BROADWELL/BURT FOSTER For 2nd

Thanks Jason - but we're going to hold off on voting until all the knives are posted. We'll be receiveing new entries over the next few days at least.

I never heard of this guy before, but Tad Lynch makes some very appealing big knives and this one is super nice;

This has been an outstanding year for Bowies in my opinion and I believe we are in for quite a treat as this thread develops.
Here's some I find particularly Special in random order:

1) Tom Ferry Bowie - Tom's damascus and engraving along with excellent fit/finish really make Tom's Bowies stand out.

2) Shane Taylor Batwing Bowie - Don't know that I have ever seen a better executed Theme Bowie than this one. The stag and damascus is absolutely outstanding on this one.

3) Jerry Fisk NLT 09 #2 - This Bowie has a beautiful and unique Brain Coral Handle and a beautiful 11-1/2" modified Dogstar damascus blade.

4) Jay Hendrickson Bowie - This one speaks for itself.

5) Steven Rapp San Francisco Bowie - With Jon Robyn Engraving.

6) Bill Buxton Bowie - The damascus on this Bowie is so well well executed and it feels so good in the hand.

Here's my favourite Bowie, superb quality, fit, finish and clean lines.

1. TOBY CROCKER, BOWIE 10" feathered Ws blade.

^ I had debated posting up the Hancocks, however being older knives didn't know if they fit here. Tim's elephant ivory handled Southwest Bowie is one of my favorite Bowies of all time. The sheath is not too shabby either. ;)

Whoa, what a year for bowie's! The knives appearing so far are fantastic.

Respectfully submitted, Stoned Ivory by Don Hanson.

10-3/4" W2 blade, damascus fittings, copper spacers, fossil walrus ivory and 18k gold pin.

This Russ Andrews Hawthorne PC with Paul Long sheath inlaid with Cape Buffalo leather provided by JParanee, made in January, 2009:

Bill Burke Fighter, I do not own, was made in late Spring 2009, I believe:

Burt Foster laminated subhilt, contoured and carved ironwood handles, I hate the sheath, offered at Blade 2009:

I got this Velarde Integral chute knife in October, 2009:

I like the Shiva Ki and Alamo Bowie that JParanee has put up best so far, as well as the John White spearpoint. Those are my three votes.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I agree - this year I have seen so very many exceptionally appealing bowies from across a broad spectrum of designs and price points.

Great times for bowie fans.

And a lot of great knives here already - keep 'em coming gents.

Jason, you had a gorgeous blade with a wonderful ivory handle at BLADE this year... you don't have a pic or two of it, do you? The ivory was the most amazing milky blue I've ever seen!

STeven thanks for the mention on the Cape Buff hide . It does look extremely good and I am pleased that I could donate something to such an excellent piece

As for your choices for best. The Ki mention really made me laugh:D You are funny

Oh, subhilts are in the game!

#1 Don Hanson's third subhilt. Don't know if he's done a 4th.

#2 Kyle Royer's first subhilt, got much attention on his table at Blade this year
