BladeForums Kershaw Blur?

I have been thinking about this and it came to me in my dream!:D A pearlish white handle with g10 twill inlays and a composite blade with a cool cutout! Maybe a perfect wave with like 7 peaks in it or something different. Steel could be something like zdp, s90v or something sweet ass on the cutting edge and something flexy on the spine edge! come on that sounds sexy doesn't it!? I wouldn't think that would be overly expeny. Low $100's?

S30V blurs with the traction insert retail for $140. I have no idea what a S90V blade would cost to machine, nor the increase for neato inserts.

Everywhere I look I see the s30v's selling under $90. Thats what i was using for basis. Use something cheaper but not super common and i Think it would still work IMO. cpm154, s35...etc

Look at it this way: street price and retail are almost never the same. If you take the spider web blurs they are selling for $100ish so retail is probably 140. They are 154 which would be an upgrade over the norm. Then tack on a cool handle color and possibly an insert of some kind, then I think you could have something that would be do-able

Hmmm I think I'm warming up to a pearl white Aluminum handle, but I want a black blade =D. I personally dont care about blade steel, because either way if this knife was ever made it will be my safe queen

Blue handles with the grip tape type inlay(or some type of G-10? See bottom for ideas) rather than the new rubbery feeling one.
s35vn blade steel with either Stone wash or Black finish.
Low rider clip, or at least fix it to where when it's tip up it doesn't stick out a huge amount in your pocket.
Give it a ball detent that way you can take the speedsafe out if you so incline.

For the G-10 inlay idea - Blue aluminum with Toxic Green G-10 inlay, or Toxic Green Aluminum(Neon green if not exactly toxic lol) with Blue G-10 inlays.
If the grip tape option is cheaper or people just don't want G-10, that would work. But if you agree that G-10 would be great, then my ideas are posted right above. :D

this works for me

It would be cool to see a S30V blur with the blade painting something other than black in DLC.

Dark brown handles with Desert Tan DLC painted blade steel.

Green and blue? I'd have to see it but you might have just created the ugliest Blur out there. :barf: lol

I wonder if it would be more doable to have a s30v but have a polished blade on it? Along with the pearlescent white and twill g10 handle of coarse. When was the last time you seen a polished kershaw? A few yrs. back!

Both of these.........just as they are, silver G-10, or carbon fiber insert. Stone washed ZDP composite blade. Kershaw could sell a zillion of them! Several just to ME! :D

Still CAN NOT believe Thomas pitched these knives to dealers and nobody bit.

How'd I miss this thread? If this were to happen it would be a shame to make it in S30V, Im kind of tired of that steel. Bad JuJu is on the right track, I have always liked the idea of a white blur and we NEED another run of composite blade blurs. ZDP cutting edge, Elmax, S110V, personally id like to see some more SG2 but I dont think Thomas likes working with it :grumpy: Stone Washed finish. Maybe a composite SW Tanto.vvvvvvvvvvv Titanium scales... not a big deal to me, a frame lock would be cool but that would cost too much I am sure. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Heck if we are dreaming here, a Damascus composite blade (0777 Style), CF inserts:rolleyes:

White Blur, Composite blade.

Yellow Blur, Composite Blade

Damascus Blur
