D.R.H. is a great guy. (d.r.h. is how he writes his forum name.) I'm going to keep this short and to the point. D.R.H is one of the classiest and kindest individuals I have ever met. He was recently selling a custom knife that I showed interest in. We communicated and discussed a possible transaction with dates and options, if no one else showed interest sooner. We had no deal set, just discussions over possible options. D.R.H. went out of his way to tell me the knife and maker's history. He was just down to earth.
Well a few hours later someone approached him and was ready to pay full price, like Now! He was kind enough to advise me. I was unable to purchase due to insufficient funds at that moment and I understood he had a buyer ready. The sale was made to the ready member as to be expected, but then D.R.H. said he was sorry and asked for my mailing address.
Today (late yesterday evening) I received a postal package and inside was a sweet Kershaw "Zing" model 1735or BNIB. This is a sweet lil orange handle flipper designed by RJ Martin. I was shocked to receive the knife.
I contacted D.R.H and thanked him. He explained that he felt bad for me since we had discussed the knife and he knew I had wanted it before the ready buyer contacted him. (He had nothing against the buyer.)
