I'm curious to know how many of you will actually carry and use your special edition BladeForums Native.

I'm planning on using mine. I use all my knives (none of which are customs, by the way).

I don't know if I am going to use it or not, but I do know I won't be spreading peanut butter on it, David!

I wouldn't say I would be using it heavily however, I will definately be carrying it. To be honest, I don't actually "use" the knives too often (my job is mainly office type work and I don't get to mutilate boxes & mail all that often). I do however enjoy carrying the knives and fiddling with them whenever I can. If some heavy cutting were required, I would probably opt for the Military.

I will be useing it a lot. I am the same guy that uses a DA Socom every day!

I expect that blue Native to disappear into my faded blue jeans and to become as faded over time with use.

Use it. Or at least carry it.

copfish and I think alike here. 1 to keep and 1 to carry.

I may have to order a 3rd one if the other knife nut in the family decides she likes it. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't buy knives for collecting, I buy them to be used and that'll be the case for the BF Native as well.

I go along with the majority so far - I will carry and use it, and hope that the blue color and straight edge will help in convencing the "knife knervous" in my office and circle of friends that knives are PRIMARILY tools, not weapons.

Mike or Spark,

If some members buy more than one of the Bladeforums Native, do you think there will be enough made so that every member who wants one will get one? I've already reserved mine, but I'd hate to see some people who, for example, are waiting for the price to be announced before ordering get left out while others have two (or three) of them. This isn't a flame against those who ordered multiples, I can see why you might want more than one.

Maybe you can guarantee everyone at least one, and then after a certain date after its been released, people can buy all they want? Just thinking of ways to make it fair for everyone...

Mine will definately be carried and used. It will be my first experience with 440V and I'm looking forward to it.

I'll use it. All my knives scream at me:
"USE ME, ABUSE ME, BUT DON'T REFUSE ME!"

I'll use mine. I have no reason to save it.

I can't say for sure, since we don't know the price yet, but here's how I see it so far:

We have close to 210 individual orders, not counting those who want to order 2 or more at once. When the price comes out, we will have a page on the BladeForums.com store where people can order the knife. Those people who reserved their knives ahead of time will have serial numbers based on when they reserved their knife; it's first come, first served.

If you want to be sure to get a knife, you'd better reserve your's quick, because after the actual ordering starts, only the people who have reserved their knife are guaranteed to get one.

I won't carry it, actually. I'm going to put it in a nice place and take it out and fondle it every now and again. I'd rather have the showy knife for show rather than lose it.

Will definitely carry and use mine. I' ve held off on the production Native so far.

Will I use it? you bet! I'm gonna sell my only knife (Endura II) to be able to buy the BF Native!

I'm going to use it. I will rotate it with my Wegner Jr as my daily carry, especially when I'm wearing jeans (which is most of the time in winter). Can't wait to see if the edge retention of 440V is as good as everyone says it is. If it is I might just have to get a Military, after the Chinese Folder of course
