You always have the fake Jerry's yo worry about -- it's a balance between checking to make sure the "Go" is legitimate, and wanting to be first in line. I'm not a fan of the fake "Go" postings, but it's considered a part of the "Hog Culture" and is officially sanctioned.

For all the 'ganzas I've seen (except when knives and shop credits were given away), you can request to buy as many knives as you want. What they will get mad about is if you request more than you intend to buy, then drop some knives from your order if you get others that you wanted more. Instead, you should specifically enumerate all of your scenarios, like:
First Choice: Knife #1, Knife #2, Knife #...
and a statement like:
Second choice: If Knife #1 is not available, please substitute a Knife #7.
and ad many choice scenarios as you care to provide -- more choices increase your odds of getting something.

That way, they can allocate knives with a single pass through the emails.
 
Aw, come on guys. Enough is enough. Let's be straight with the newbies for once.

The fact is that "fake Jerrys" is a myth, created by some old Hogs to cause a few extra seconds of unneccessary delay for people who take the time to check out the source of the "Go, go, go" message. It is the ultimate in Hog sneakiness!

Yea, you have to be on the list to participate in the ganzaaa. Right now the wait time to be on the list is like 2 to 3 years, I think.

Usually they only have qty 3 of each model...so the likelihood of actually getting anything is extremely slim. Still fun though...not sure if it's worth the time to try though.:yawn:
