Blades and Barbells

on lowering db's: you might wanna try not lowering the pair, but rather bring them to your waist and use them to sit up. I don't do much db presses with heavy db's
(normally stop at 45 k and in any case always at 61 k) but prefer to unload them like this. I think it keeps the db's in better shape and just don't like the attention generated by the heavy thumb

can't find edit, so must continue here, sorry!
What I mean is that once you have the pair at your waist level simply tipping them forward combined with some help from legs will make sitting up quite easy. My abs are way too weak but this works

YES! Let's get this going! There's a Blades & just about everything else thread, why not weights/ Barbells??
I'll contribute with my kettlebells and EDC Tanto:

Love this thread. Okay, when it comes to impressive basement home gym, I lose:) But I will say this, as dated as it is I promise a tremendous workout (for a fat 58yo):D
Unbreakable exercise tubes...and they don't break as I've broken many before, but not these, so far at least:thumbsup: don't sell these short, especially when you can link em together;)

Latest inexpensive, yet impressive recumbent bike (better for bad knees) still manage 1000 calories in an hour.

Dated bench (at least 35 years old) and assorted weights, more plates under bench:thumbsup:

And heads and tails above everything, Chucks choice, my total gym...AWESOME gear in my book:cool: Hey, it's good enough for Chuck:D

Cool knife and a very good choice of elbow warmers! Granted, I'm doing less volume and weight these days but good elbow sleeves have done wonders to my joints. I'm also saving money on ice and horse liniments ;)
I like SBD for knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, and the powerlifting suit. I got the Inzer forever belt instead of the SBD one, because its half the price and well built.

I think you are selling yourself short. It looks like you can get some decent variety from the equipment you have. You might want to save up for a barbell and power rack, which would give you some really good options.

My knee and elbow sleeves are SBD too. Value for money and and IPF approved

I compete in the IPF/USAPL as well. The Inzer Forever Belt is IPF approved as well. I use the Titan Titanium Wrist Wraps and Adidas Powerlifts as well.

My second meet got postponed canceled, because of Coronavirus. I am targeting December or so to complete again.

No slack, running out of room on the handle..

You gotta be worthy if you want to be a FREEMAN.
Have a hardcore day. Ballzout!

I had a decent setup that I had built up over the years at my house back in Florida, but when we moved cross country there just wasn't a practical way to bring it with. Over time I have embraced a more minimal workout anyway. I've found the ideal thing for me is daily pull-ups/push-ups, ab work, heavy bag; and then compliment that with an active lifestyle doing the things that I enjoy like hiking, kayaking, and generally just playing in the outdoors. I do keep an elliptical machine for cardio on days when I don't get out. My current humble setup is a Nordic-Track elliptical that I picked up for $20 on craigslist and keep outside on the back porch (the guy selling it was actually just a few blocks up the street from me so I ended up just rolling it down the sidewalk :D), and my pull-up bar is the tree out back.

Here's the tree
