Blades and Belt Pouch of the 18th Century Woodsrunner

Sorry my friend, did not mean to insult you personally Le Loupe.
For having that many strokes your doing pretty good, glad your part of the forum with your years of experience. At 41 my ADD still makes me a tad impatient.

All the best sir and I promise not to troll you again on hopefully more posts to come........your a forumite now not an unknown youtuber!

Some say I shoot my own foot saying this stuff but....

The funny thing is... they didn't look aged during that period. I often see reenactors with old looking, element eaten wares and think... When the 18th century woodsman bought/used them, they were NEW! ..... lol... They weren't made to look like 200yr old antiques from the get go.

This always bothered me too. Especially since some of these guys are super strict about authenticity.

..................

Okay... I'm not a Hobbit and Ents don't exist... but you get my meaning.
............................

No No
you don't really mean it!

Those wool hooded jackets and those long walks in the woods

I am crushed..............

I'm tired of trying to prove this or that point to people with varied interests and cutting tool needs. I will add this though. I am a hard core metal detectorist that hunts for relics. What I will post up was found on private property that I had permission to detect on. What was left of a fur trade site from the 1780's (documented) was almost obliterated from massive river errosion. Draw your own conclusions as to what each cutting tool was capable of performing.

Le Loup - Just to apologise for my remark. I actually thought you were a Brummy.

I'd be interested to read some of your old hunting stories if you'd be willing to share?
I've not seen much on Aussie game etc on here.

Did/do you hunt with black powder?
