Here is a better picture of the knife that was taken with the bow.

The knife I hunted this year with was a Kwaiken by Adam Vigel

Not your typical hunting knife :)

So, how did the tanto perform? Was it difficult cleaning the handle afterwards?

I've been using kwaikens in the field for years

The handles are soaked in epoxy resin and clean up easily

This one is different in that it is Ats 34 and in a non lined aluminum wrapped in rubber sheath so it is easy to also clean it contaminated

As for how Kwaikens which are Japanese utility knives work in the field

Think a large Exacto knife

Great for caping and detail work like turning lips etc

What a nice covert Hunter. Don't have a picture of my falco triumph vintage with a knife though, not used for hunting anyways at 25#

I'm used to Kwaikens made out of less rust resistant materials and sheaths (sayas) that are lined and leather covered

Adams version is a more stain resistant steel and a non lined rubber covered sheath

Really lends itself to the great outdoors and hard use

You can literally jump in the water with this setup and come out dry it out and keep going

Hey, who let that cat in here? :D

Enjoying the archery show, keep'em coming.

The Black Widow bow is beautiful. The Hoyt Nitrum is a techno-franken bow IMHO. (You'd never guess I am a bit of a traditionalist, would you ? :-)
