Blades for Troops!

I totally agree Esav Benyamin, I just thought I would ease anyones suspicions of Brian, I completely agree every give a way like this should get Moderaters approval. I see what kind of damage this would cause if it was to be done wrong. Hope I didnt rub nobody the wrong way and if I did I apologize,Charlie

Ok! I just sent Sparks an email and hopefully I should hear from him sometime soon. I will be at work until after 10:00 PM tonight. In the meantime, I appreciate the heads up. Just so you dudes out there don't worry about me....Four of the gentlemen who volunteered personally know me. There are a couple of other gentlemen who are not members of the forums that are helping me also. I will try to get them on here to join in this great website. Glad to get you guys motivated.

Charlie,
You dont have to apologize for anything. I appreciate you sticking up for me. That is what buds do.

Mr. gollnick,
Thanks for bringing this up to my attention. Like I said earlier in the post, I sent Sparks an email and am awaiting a reply. Hopefully we will get his approval.
Thanks
Bryan

Just want to say I've been working again tonight and am making progress. Had a nice phone convo with Bryan as well. I'm just about out of belts (my purchasing agent [me] is a doofus and forgot to order some) so I may end up doing more work with the files than I'd prefer, but oh, well. :D

How's it going, gentlemen?

James,
Its going well. Just said hi to the wife. She is watching Texas beat LSU right now. So, I walked "ran" away from her. She is not happy, lol! I am about to go outside and see if my knives were able to fix themselves while I was gone.
Good luck with those files,
Bryan

The Brewers are losing to the Twins. :( But the game ain't over yet! :D

Luckily I picked up a handful of new Nicholson files last week, so I won't run out. Might run out of elbow-grease though. :p

Hey Bryan, did you get the email I sent you?

And James, substitute elbow grease with some WD-40!

Mike,
I did receive your email. I downloaded all the pics and am just taking my time tonight looking at what you have. I will get with you tomorrow evening on some of the items we talked about. I appreciate your help with this.
Thanks
Bryan

I started grinding on Sunday. Everything was roughed out and just needed polishing from 60 to 400. Started this evening on doing that. Got so bad with two of my blades that I really think they cannot be saved.
The bottom one is by far the best I have done. I still need to touch up around the plunge lines.
I also show that one in the photo by itself. Any suggestions or hints to help me will be taken seriously.
Thanks Bryan

Nevermind, you got it figured out.

I really don't see much wrong with the top blade, and the second one only looks like the grind is not even.

Well, the top one has a grind right above the grind line in the middle, it is kinda shiny. The second one is just all over the place on the grind line. I do not want to send them any junk. I have tried everything I can think of to even it out. Not much luck. I really dont have much thickness to either blade. I feel like if I grind anymore on them, they will be too thin.
