A dagger will always be a better stabbing tool. Ease of penitration. The ka bar is a better knife to issue troops as an all around. I agree with the cattaragus 225q being superior to the ka bar. I personaly was issued a bayonet, I carried a ka bar. More than one gerber lmf was present in my platoon. I think the limitations of the dagger have made it obsolete.

Great, that you have your grandfathers knife. Impossible to put a value on that. I hope you treasure that particular 225 - I know, I would.
