Hi Folks-

These two blades were both forged to shape with hand hammers, and there has been zero grinding on them. They were soaked in vinegar and scrubbed with a scotchbrite to clean off the forge scale.

The W2 blade is an upswept tip fighter, and the 1084 blade is a clip point fighter/bowie with a gentle arc to the clip.

I sketched this out to show how I would shape these at the grinder (with very little stock removal needed). The sketch is $100, but if you buy a blade, you get its sketch free! ;) :D

I took this picture so this won't be a surprise. This looks like a crack in the 1084 tang, but it is NOT. The dogs bumped into the container with the vinegar (but I didn't realize it till the next day) when I was etching the scale off, so the 1084 blade sat katty-wompous in the vinegar.... so it is just an etch line. It will easily grind away.

We use this phrase with some regularity, but I've never seen it spelled before.

Same here buddy! ;) :D

I say it all the time, but when I went to type it--- I realized I'd never actually seen it written anywhere. LMAO :)

Maybe it's catty-whompous? Or kaddy/kaddie- womp-us? :D
