^^^This!

And at least one of each of the Elmax Scraps. I like my Scrap Max a lot.

I want that longer Scrapmax. I have a ZT 0551 and a ZT 0560, both with Elmax. They hold a great edge, I can't wait to get a hold of Elmax with Bussekin heat treat!!!!

Having to go through my bosses property today dealing with downed trees.... Please throw in a Kill Devil Hawk and I'll buy it (Since no NMFSH yet) :D

I asked on the yard, but never got a reply. Are they doing a in-house heat treat or just using it as is? ELMAX is amazing as it comes, so that wouldn't bother me one bit.

READ MY SIG POKAHOGNESS. NOT ONLY ARE YOU LADIES LATE ON MY BATH BUT YOU IN PARTICULAR ARE VERY LATE ON THE INFI PICTURES.

DO NOT MAKE ME REGULATE.

ONE FALSE MOVE AND THE PIGGY GETS IT !!!

WRX..this probably got lost in a stream of posts over there.

Here's a quote from Dan where he vaguely mentioned second page of the Sip'n Talk last Friday:

No Elmax is made by Bohler-Uddeholm. It is a powdered metal. What is unique is the heat treat process that we developed...we get more performance than can be expected

Thank you! As if it wasn't already certain I would buy one.:D Now I have to buy two:thumbup:

Now I am waffling about those Max's - hearing that the steel is really hard, I'm wondering how much the longer (4.75") blade (which I like better blade:handle wise) will flex with the thin grind. I don't want it to fracture easily. As for the little one, definitely has the better blade profile (drop-point) but is a little short for such a handle, imho...

I think it has been said these are not for prying or chopping. They are slicing knives. I don't think the steel is significantly harder, but ELMAX (my experience with Kershaw) does have a great edge. Both stays sharp and is easy to touch-up compared with the other super steels.

The longer Scrapmax was exactly what I was hoping for. Might have to go for two - one to grind out a larger finger choil, and one to keep minty.

So you guys will be happy to hear this! I ran out of gas, quit drinking (so much);) and took all the pictures! Pictures, pricing and ordering procedures up tomorrow, guys  There will be a newsletter sent out too :D
