if you swap over all of the hardware (spacer, stop pin sleeve, blade, pivot bushing and washers) from one set of scales to the other, you should not have blade play and the action should be the same, with the exception of the lock.
As others have said, CRK sets the lockup from the factory by grinding the lock face on the blade tang until the lockup is correct because of variance in manufacturing process. Take a good look at the lock engagement percentage (60-80% lockup is ideal) and where the blade tang actually interfaces with the lock bar face (it should mostly interface with the area farthest away from the pivot on the blade tang to avoid lock rock.
But why not just sell both and buy a factory plain damascus if that's what you want?
