Blems and bargain for 11/24

George is that the Samsher (bottom)?

You getting settled in a bit Pugs? Hope all is well!
Hey Brother,
We are good man thank you, dodged a huge bullet. Just dealing with river flooding, all the water from the storm comes down from NC, Upper SC to us and to the sea, so lots of local flooding.

George I just noticed my Samsher is a Chiruwa and yours is traditional handle. I prefer the traditional myself but still love the design. How bout that thick strong edge profile:thumbsup:

I've been busy the past month and haven't really had the chance to review it yet. However, a storm rolled through yesterday and decided to knock down some trees. I didn't have my Ang Khola with me but my new BAS was in my backpack.

That was an old oak tree that fell. There's no way I could chop through that with this khukuri but it didn't stop me from whacking it a few times. The blade held up fine and was actually cutting it pretty well. There were a few smaller trees that also fell or got damaged/broken. It zipped through those without an issue even after the oak test.

It feels great in my hand, and I really like the size and weight. The hardest part about using it was having to remind myself that it is a tool and meant to be used. Both it and the AK I got are beautiful and I'd love to just display them. Overall, I'm extremely pleased.

That BAS is nice. I believe this to be the most under rated HI kukri. The BAS is light, but heavy enough to handle a chopping job. It also looks good.
