Took my meds including appetite enhancer, did everything right and got up to 159 pounds from low of 147. Feeling pretty good. Then about 10 days ago came down with the flu -- coughing variety. Flu took away everything I'd gained so I'm back at 150 with about 2% energy level. To make matters worse Yangdu came down with the flu, too, but she's strong and still has some energy and wants to get rid of some blems.

These are the typical grainline, superglue fix cracked handles or maybe a little rust. Minor cosmetics but she's discounting all $50 off regular prices.

She has "several pieces" of BAS -- $50 delivered.

16.5" WWII -- 6 pieces -- $75 delivered.

15" AK -- 5 pieces. $75 delivered.

She has 3 or 4 other models in the blem box so if you email telling her what you want she just might have it.

Sorry about no pix and lack of description. We don't have the go power to get this done.

If you've been holding off on a purchase waiting for a blem to show up this may be your chance to save $50.

Email.

Back to the recliner.

We had the flu here. I'm in charge of wiping baby's nose so I got it too. Drip drip drip. Then it wanted to go down into the chest. What is that? I mean, it isn't satisfied with the nose? Thinks it's nice and warm in the lungs? Lots of food down there?

Great sale.

I've got what Munk's got. Yeech! Eleven days now, although the worst was middle period. Really kills the energy. Fluids, rest, etc., etc.

I want another WWII but it is too soon. I could practice with the blem and keep the new one pristine. Must resist urge to reach for wallet. This is too hard - she would kill me.

oooo:( flu is no fun. I hope everybody gets to feeling better soon. Remember, another WWII will cure anyone's flu blues;)

Be well, Bill.

Been a while since I've jumped on a blem, but the WWII I got from Hogshead hasn't even gotten a handle-sanding yet. :( Need more time to play with the toys!

I'm kind short of cash, but maybe she has a blemished 21" Gelbu or 18" Chitlangi in the box, preferably by Kumar. :D

I sent an e-mail inquring. Might get lucky.

Get well soon everyone. Get plenty of rest and liquids.

The khukuri's listed sure are good for a 1st or second Khukuri. :D

I'm a new member here and have read a BUNCH of posts. Ordered my first kukri today, so I figured I may as well order 2.

Alright, Jotto!! Make sure for these inforum blems you send Bill an email-

Welcome.

Otto, chances are that when your khuks arrive, you will have trouble seeing what makes them blems. My first khukuri, a BAS, was a blem, and when I saw how tiny the crack in the handle was, I almost laughed. Took me about twenty minutes and .03$ worth of superglue to fix. If you have any questions about refurbishing blems once they arrive, this is the right place to get answers.

One step ahead of you-- Jotto

That's easy to do. I had a boss once who would freak if I said that to him- one step ahead of you-

Munk et al,
When you feel that sore throat, stopped up, nasal drip, head and chest cold coming on...you know the one where you can feel the snot running down the back of your throat and you try to hack it up and you get that metallic taste in your mouth? Buy a couple boxes of zinc lozenges. I swear by them and trust me....with 175 booger eaters entering and leaving my room every day, I get my share of germs. I don't think I was ever completely healthy my first two years of teaching. Now...... I think I can eat carrion.

Now THAT'S the spirit!!

After you've had one of those khuks in your hands for about, say...one or two tenths of a second you'll be kicking yourself for not buying three or four.

HIKV strikes hard it does.

I think there's a couple other forumites who eat carrion.... as for zinc- you and my wife would get along. She's a children's counselor and is exposed to all kinds of colds. She has vitamins all over the place...

Some of the knife makers here absorb quite enough extra metal through their work and probably don't need zinc. I'll think about it.

What's the handle size like on the BAS? At that price I'm pretty interested in it as a first time khukuri but I'm concerned it will be too short for my hands (which are "large glove" sized).

thanks in advance
