Ciao Andreas!
I live in the city of Ancona on the Adriatic coast near Senegallia, a popular beach resort area. There are nice Italian women everywhere; most Italians themselves will tell you that the prettiest are found in Trieste and Treviso. Its a generalization though, kind of like saying the prettiest Thai women are found in Chiang Mai.
The German laws are restrictive, but they could be worse, like in England. They are better than the laws here, although Ive never asked for the specifics. Ill ask my assistants boyfriend, who is a police officer. Here in Italy, I wanted to take a katana over, and display it in my office, but I was told it would be best not to tempt fate. When my GS arrives, I will discreetly take it to a large wooded park for testing. If I were caught doing it, I probably would not have a problem, as it is legal to to have large knives outside of the city limits. The policemen here are a lot more forgiving than in Germany in general, but I was involved in an incident in Hamburg where the officer was extremely lenient. It depends also if you are respectful, not under the influence, not cocky, etc.
If I do have a problem with this GS khukuri, I will have to think of a different strategy to get them here in Italy. A sword importer here in Italy offered to bring in my katana, but it was best for me to not take him up on the offer; the penalties can be pretty bad if they decide to press charges. I don't think I would, but i don't care to find out. The customs fees involved were also absurd!
Buon Capodanno!; auguri anche per te e la tua famiglia!
In bocca del lupo:
